Oh and I thought if the Ex was on one side and the Inlet on the other that ment the gasses passed over the piston and crossed over, hence crosflow.

love twin carbs, i have them on my kit car but i use crossflow engine in that. injection is shit dunno why cars went onto it carbs all the way!

@connorfarr1500 Because once you know how to program the computers controlling injectors, they can pump out so much more power and economy when used properly, Yes carbies are simple, if you want to upgrade fuel just put bigger jets in it etc, but with injection you have to upsize injectors and re-program the computer etc etc but as I said you get so much more power out of using injectors for less fuel.

@burkie1990 Not quite, here's a brake down. The E in 4A-FE is for electronic injection, the F is for economy or narrow angled valve head. The G in 4A-GE is for wide angled valve. Both share the same bore and stroke and that is where the similarity ends really. Carburettor versions lacked the E, so it would be 4A-F. C does not stand for carburettor however.

@Acornoa lol its the 'trumpet' for the ITB(individual Throttle Bodies), short ones like that tend to be more HP tuned, better breathing rather than sharing a common air intake!

@Imreadingthisaloud those are actually carbs so they are not itbs as in its not fuel injected so there is no throttle body and fuel injectors instead the carburetor does it all but performance carbs are mistaken for itbs on account of them both looking alike.

@kickfreak23 yup but if ur car is already FI your better off leaving it Fi because fi is technically better the carb but some old cars come carbd such as this 4age there was a fi 4age that some people convert to carb but yea if you have a carbd car there is not ecu no harness and alot less sensors.
