@CinemaTouretteGuy It really was a top film, but my own favourite is Lethal Weapon because it was the darkest and grittiest of the series and it was like an '80s version of Dirty Harry but with more character development than other action thrillers at that time.

Warner Bros. held most of the foreign rights to Mad Max back then. Meanwhile, the US rights were held by American International (who was bought out by Filmways, who was bought out by Orion, who was bought out by MGM).
I used own this lethal weapon 2 ex rental version with this trailer it always got played mad max 2 all the way qaulity action film

Weird that WB has UK rights to the 1st Mad Max movie, and yet Vestron, then GoodTimes, then MGM has the US rights to Mad Max! Very bizarre!
