the DJM 600 has excellent sound and build quality, if it didn´t , i don´t think Tiësto would have used it to perform in the 2004 Olympic games in front of the whole world! :), of course the DJM 800 is the new improved version of the 600, but my point is they are both awesome

sound quality djm 600-800 is the same ,

just djm 800 has more options and another buttons & stuff....:)

sound quality between 600-800 is not the same!! i work in a bar that alternates between those mixers from time to time and I can garantee you that the sound quality is not the same. the djm 600 sounds more agressive than the djm 800.

i worked with both @ some clubs & i didnt hear the sound quality difference....i dont know ,it could be so but they both professional gear pieces!!!

you right Jonathan when useany mixer borad the light are there for a reson a person see that to much sound is goingout the sound effect bord to the mix so there are small thing in dj equitment that mean a lot than look pretty.

Buy a Limiter like I had to with my DJM 600. As soon as you use the effects.........Watch the levels go up. All hinges on the wet/dry dial. Very irritating Pioneer. For the price tag you guys should have sorted that out.

Now it apparently happens with their EFX units?

My LA Audio Comp/limiter cost an additional 300 quid.. Or do you pay someone to keep an eye on the levels during your night out? I don't think so. No, lets keep our THIRD eye and THIRD hand to sort it out...? Great Pioneer.

I do agree with DjKrisz, but Pioneer produce high quality gear meaning they are able to charge this premium. The fact that they are well established and have a reputable brand also allows them to bump prices up wihout the likely hood of losing sales!
