awesome chris i'll look for it! but about what i wrote... whats ur advice on it... should i continue with contact points? do u have any problem with them in your bugs?
wow actually... i just thought of something, can u do a video on contact points?? like cause i've heard 2 mechanics say that the distance between them that the other mechanic was using was wrong... and i know theres this thing i can buy to calibrate it, but nobody, almost nobody uses it here in mexico, u can give like tips to set it right without the calibrator and with it?? maybe?
Yeah man I plan on doing a tune up video! There is one out now on DVD that you can buy from the "Bug Me Video" series. Look on my website in the shop and learn section, get Volume 1.
cause im so sick of them failing on me that im thinking of changing the whole electric system to electronic ignition.... what do you think lol, mine's a daily driver, and i take the highway everyday for at least an hour...
which was like the most stupid idea ever cuase i spent a ton of money and he almost fucked my engine up, it almost gave out on me on the highway lol, now i have everything in place... sorta, i have this "new" engine with oil filter (the one from factory), but i still have it running on contact points, you must really know how to deal with contact points right chris?
it definitely needs carburation, but stupid mechanics here cant seem to get it right, they just do it by ear, and every mechanic says the last mechanic did everything wrong haha, first this guy fixed my engine, completely restored it, but didnt put in the cover up for #1 and # 2 pistons,
Happy to say that I just bought this little beauty from Chris today. I'll be picking it up next week and driving it back to KY - can't wait to get behind the wheel!
It can be melted by the engine temperature and the fuel could catch a fire. I suggest moving it under the tank (it can be reached behind front wheel when the car is jacked a bit, or some other place.
gorgeous chris, but i think they would love evennnn nicer lowered, specially this one cause it seems really tall, but again, this is a complete original restoration, and thats the way they meant to be :D
Mine had coconut floor mats from the factory.

nah, your best bet is to get an electronic ignition if your car is 12volts.
