  • Wynton Marsalis, like Al Hirt, is one of those very rare trumpet players who plays with individuality. His playing is like no other. I became a huge fan of his after hearing him play a Hummel concerto on the radio. I went right out and bought that album and have been buying his recordings ever since. Playing any instrument this well is a rarity.

  • And to think that there are jazz wannabe's on forums on the internet who will emphatically say that Wynton is good but he is not a jazz trumpeter.
