But immigrants - let´s say from Europe - unfortunately have problems to buy a property in NZ specially when you are over 55!! Even if you buy a property you will not automatically get a visa to stay in NZ!! :-(

Its not a bad pad with a nice view. How much dirt does it come with? I agree the NZ property market is well over valued. I was home last year and thought Id just put the feelers out on how much the bank would lend. they came back with 1.3 million bucks! When you start looking at what rents you CAN'T command in NZ as oppsosed to where I have my other properties (London) a massive meltdown is on the cards. All ecomimic indicaters point to higher interest rates.
