I have several altos, Conn New Wonder, Yamaha 23, Schill, Buescher, King, and a Bundy. Nothing wrong with a Bundy 2. You can make pretty much any mechanically sound sax sound good if you have a good mouthpiece and embouchure.

@nivrin13 You can find a good sax, for cheap if it is used. You need a quality horn, but some junk, but you can find inexpensive horns on craigslist or ebay.

@egassi1027 It's a Conn New Wonder model alto sax. I play med. plastic Bari brand reeds and a Meyer 5* mouthpiece. At first you want to tighten and loosen your embouchure, and then learn to control that over time.

In order to get vibrato, you need to work on moving your lower lip up and down against the reed. It takes some practice to get it down, but with time it will become second nature. You need to have a good embochure so that you can control the vibrato so that your instrument doesn't sound flat and out of tune. Playing long tones will help you build your embochure. It may seem boring, but that is the work it takes to build a nice sound.
