Actually, disappearing creepers were not a bug, and still isn't. They despawn so your world isn't full of spiders and... creepers. And underground, well, all you see is... monsters. I kinda think there should be a special item that, when you right-click mobs, will prevent them from despawning. Forever creepy pets FTW! ;) Hopefully, nobody would go crazy with one, and cause both creature extinction, AND world extinction. O.O
