@LionclawsProductions This is simply my opinion, but I feel it's more of a concept than a romance (I'll explain). Basically the series shows Dib's obsession with Zim and Zim's obsession to take over Earth and prove himself, which in turn, is manifested as an obsession towards Dib. Both of them are complete rejects of their own seperate species who feel the need to prove themselves and need each other to do so. Yet somehow they come together time and again to fight for common causes.

This is clearly depicted in the unaired episode (which you can find the scripts and voice acting for online) 'Mopiness of Doom' during which Dib decides to give up on the paranormal in order to pursue "real science" and Zim basically gives up on taking over the world. Also it doesn't hurt that in unaired episode 'Return of Keef' they had to hug when working together to destroy Keef. :) These episodes WOULD have aired if it weren't for it being cancelled...

I don't know what that comic is, but it's true about the PAKs. If you remove them from any Irken, they have 10 minutes to live before their memories, their life shuts down completely and they're no longer living. It almost happens to Zim from a skript I read that was going to be made into a show, but didn't when it was cancelled T_T
