  • this is old-school radiohead song

  • i thought jonny played ondes on this song?

  • awesome as always. :D

  • wow, ok these people were sooo lucky to see Radiohead in such a small venue!!

  • YES!

  • . . when people dislike Radiohead, it somehow makes me feel right . . .

  • loveee,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,thissssssssssssss

  • Radiohead and the Marsvolta The best bands alive.

  • @deftones98 hahahaha nice joke or are you serious???

  • "Let's go for a curry!"

  • Radiohead fans need to get over themselves.

  • @danthemanh u need to listen to real music. we act like we'r above people because musically we are

  • @pinkpoop24 I love Radiohead's music but loathe people JUST LIKE YOU.

  • @danthemanh its just fact u dumb shit. its like people understanding bigger words having a better vocabulary. if ur listening to shit music like fall out boy ur music vocabulary will suck, if u listen to radiohead itll be better. dont be stupid dan the douche

  • I still say 2+2=5 is one of the hardest Radiohead songs to sing, mainly after Thom has his "You have not BEEN payin' attenTION!" breakdown.

  • thom yorke, i love you. would you please marry me?

  • @amitdrath Don't steal my hubby :o ;)

  • there's a 90's feeling in this...brings back memories of good days....

  • i really wish they made a longer live version of this song. ITS SOOO GOOD.

  • radiohead is like a drugs !!!

  • awesome!!!!

  • "That's why there's recovery!" hahaha

This is both a good version because it's faster and a bad version because Thom isn't up to par. He definately has passion and emotion but he sounds like he's lost his voice :*(

  • You can tell he lives his music when he sings it.

  • There's a version of this song that i downloaded with ARES... I can't find it here on YouTube, but i think it's the best version. It's kinda acoustic, but with a very creepy sound, which i think is the best for a song like this.

  • @Rightcouch You should go back to 1994, cause everybody else has moved on

  • @fuckscum QFT

  • excellent song. you can listen to my cover of 15 step if you want. i'm going to upload a video showing how to play it in a couple days.

  • I agree he's voice is perfect...

  • reminds me of a smiths song kinda after watching this, which is cool

  • not to be a dick or anything, but the way Thom shakes his head on the last verse is very muppet-like. i think this is awesome.

  • Well it's live!! What did you expect?? the same sound as te album version?

  • the festival or whatever it is is called 93 feet east, but it is held in 2008

  • @THELIBERTADOR

    wtf are you talking about

  • SICK

  • Great tune!!!

  • no one can sing like Thom. He's to legit and he sounds fucking amazing in this recording.

  • hes singing lower here (at the last vere) then on the album, and paranoid android is way harder to sing. thom has a bigger range than i, and i can sing this song much easier than paranoid android. in pa. when he goes up high right at the begining (stop the noise im trying to get some rest).. that is a lot higher than this song

  • that's cuz he's using his falsetto in correlation with his full voice in the beginning of paranoid android

  • I honestly didn't hear anything bad about his vocals in the last verse. The vocals on the album were close to this, and we all know Thom gets ridiculously involved in every live performance. I thought it was actually extremely well done and sounded fantastic. Great band, even better live.

  • agreed

  • This sounds absolutely epic... u guys are ridiculous.

  • Who cares about the vocals when the instrumentation was THAT good?

  • sounds awesome to me

  • this is the best live version of this song, cause thumbs down has the studio audio, althought i think jonny should play ondes mertenot like in the studio version and ed should do the jonnys guitar work,

this song it¡s very hard fot thom

  • Personally i like Live from Copenhagen more, just cuz i believe Open Pick was better than Jigsaw

  • fucking brilliant

  • this is too fucking much!!

  • This is probably Radiohead's most vocally demanding song, and Thom did splendedly here (though on many other live versions he struggles towards the outro verse because it's so damn high)

  • this and paranoid android both very hard to pla n sing

  • Okay, Thom Yorke is great, but don't go making excuses for him. This is nowhere NEAR Radiohead's "most vocally demanding song" so stop. Thom can and has many times sung way higher than anything in this song. I have no idea why he doesn't sing it very well live, but the range of it has nothing to do with it.

He just sounds bored and like he doesn't care anymore nowadays.

  • it's not about range, and I never said it was. The range isn't the only thing that makes the vocals. Thom's bored? haha... go look up his performance of "The present tense" at latitude fest and tell me he's "bored" Sounds like you're one of those Radiohead fans who just wants them to release another OK Computer ever 4 years. OK computer was great... but it's time to move on.

  • a. You said he "struggles towards the outro verse because it's so damn high". Which, of course, is an issue of range.

    b. I'm aware range isn't the only thing that makes the vocals... that was my point in the first place.

    c. I never said he was horrible on EVERY performance, nor did I even mention OK Computer.

    d. I like Hail to the Thief and Kid A and In Rainbows all more than OK Computer.

    e. Don't put words in people's mouth and then cut it down.

  • Sorry for misjudging your tastes. I will refrain and say that this song IS hard because it's high... but I'll clarify: I mean the non-falsetto part is high. I'm not about to go and find where each note is, but I'm sure it's up there with the highest stuff Thom sings with his non-falsetto voice.

  • You don't think that Paranoid Android is harder to sing? Like, by a lot?

  • The only part on PA that's really hard is the "I guess he does" I think Jigsaw is harder than paranoid android.

  • I mean like tonewise though. Like singing relatively high while staying soft and pretty without going into falsetto. Jigsaw is, during the last verse, relatively high, but also loud and raw. Do you know what I'm talking about? It's like the "YOU DON'T REMEMBER, YOU DON'T REMEMBER!" is way easier then the verses or the "Rain down from a great height".

  • :O risky...

  • Hmm, i kinda agree, but even the most amazing bands can have bad days, right?

  • @koreybishop I think Thom sounds great here.

  • @me1onhead

    okay?

he sounds alright... which is alright, nothing spectacular, nothing you would ever talk about. in older live performances he used to kick any listener's ass for hearing it (in a good way) super passionate, moreso than the album, and great tone and note accuracy. here is just on the bad side of meh.

  • I just love it when people bash eachother's musical tastes on the Internet. It's the most juvenile thing in the world. We're all entitled to our own opinions. If everyone liked the same music, it would be boring.

  • uf shto su lepa svetla

  • Comment removed

  • best night i ever had dude...!! blessed to have been here!

  • @sebagudelo Damn! I wish I was there too. Great performance.

  • Ive had so many sh1t nights in 93 feet east... how the hell did I miss this?

  • lets go for curry LOL

  • so is Thom Yorke a good musician?

  • hahahaa, damndirtyRob...

  • words are a sawed off shotgun

  • ignore that dumbass's comment,

you like whatever you want, it's your decision

What people see in Radiohead is ingenuity, emotion, and musical richness.

they're one of the most creative bands around, their music (mostly) has no predecessors in terms of sound or melodic sequences.

they also have very emotional songs, with touching lyrics accompanied by the wonderful instrumental background mentioned above.

well, maybe that's just not your style.

  • GOD your funny. In this band people see good music, instead of the whiny teenage shit that you listen to. Go back to your Korn or whatever and leave real music for the adults. :)

  • Haha, thats cute. Your trying to talk to people! Well go back to the basement now, faggot, your mom and i have some 'work' to do.

Oh, and i was never sucking on your "nuts", if thats what you call those peanut sized growths around the smooth spot that is your crotch. I refer to them as jokes :)

  • No one likes you.

  • I'm 13, and grew up on this. Along with The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Placebo, Zepplin, Pink Floyd, The Clash, and Buddy Holly just recently. Fuck you.

  • @CrackaMoo hey. XD

i'm fifteen, and i consider radiohead to be my false idols.

so some kids like good music. =)

  • @CrackaMoo

    Butthurt and unnecessarily aggressive.

    Classic.

  • @CrackaMoo Are you implying that kids can't listen to real music?

  • @CrackaMoo im a kid and i love radiohead, and have loved them for like 3 years now.

  • @CrackaMoo No one likes a pretentious music lover, even if you do have good taste. Music is still music and you can't knock a band like Korn. Who are you to say what adults listen to? I mean, isn't that childish? Something the 44 fools who 'thumbed up' your comment didn't consider...

  • god to see radiohead at that venue would be a once in a lifetime experience

  • LET'S GO FOR A CURRY

  • i love radiohead

  • thom looks like peewee herman here

  • haha that's hilarious :D

  • LOLLLLLL

  • Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance...

  • radiohead is from another planet fellow people

  • Planet Genius

  • IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I FELT THE NEED TO WRITE TOTALLY IN CAPS LOCK, BUT YEEEAAAHHHH RADIOHEAD KICK ANUS!! :D:D:D:D:D:D!!!!11oneone

  • Wow, this version is so fast... AND AWESOME :D

  • You want fast? Look up Jigsaw Falling into Place Tokyo HD that shit is fast!! haha AS FUCK

  • Album version = greatest song EVER.

  • my top two bands are radiohead and rhcp and i think john frusciante is probably the best guitarist out now but radiohead is more talented as one whole band

  • even though they are very different bands, you can argue who's better.

With that, the Chili Peppers do not even come near the same level of greatness of Radiohead.

  • why do people always talk about music like it's objective ?

  • good point

  • Thom doesn't realise how musically amazing he is. And having Jonny in the same band makes Radiohead just about the best band that ever existed

  • Oh, I do think Thom realizes it.

  • hahahahahahaha let's go for a curry

i love that guy and radiohead of course

  • exactly! =)

  • You can't compare Frusciante/Greenwood, completely different styles

Radiohead just so happens to be my 1st favorite band and the chili peppers are 2nd :D

  • why would you want to?

  • yes, i'll have two fine sir.

  • when conducting business there is a four key test.

    1st is it true

2nd is it fair to everyone concerned

3rd will it build good will and better friendships

4th will it be benificial to all that are concerced.

  • SOUNDS INTOXICATING!*_*

  • LETS GO FOR A CURRY!

  • sexy

  • why agroup so fantastic never claim to be the best group on the planet, think these chaps know they are very cool modest people

  • sunds fresh

  • i was there when they did this. (increasing sense of smugness)

  • The fact that they've played this at every single show this tour makes me delighted because it means they'll play it when I see them in four days. Awesome song by an awesome band, the live performance is even better.

  • You're in for a treat. I saw then on 8/3 and it was unbelievable.

  • god, seriously why would you call him fat? he's like the skinniest, tiniest man? he looks cool here.

  • relax...he's gaining weight...no big deal

  • you're fat.

  • This song is so amazing live.

  • I'm a lefty ..this song is incredible ...always translates well live their songs

  • This song is so brilliant.

  • Out of this world.

  • are there any lefty players here?

  • Omar Rodriguez Lopez, The Mars Volta.

    He's amazing.

  • more than amazing. so amazing, words cannot literally describe as u can see i look like a fool trying to explain how good Omar is xDD

  • did you know all the guitar you hear on their past few albums has been John Frusciante playing.

  • my comment was towards the guys who mentioned Omar Rodriguez Lopez

  • Yeah he played backup because him and Omar Rodriguez Lopez are very good friends. He just kind of doubled what Omar was doing.

It's pretty awesome to see him play like that ain't it?

  • Er...John Frusciante could never I'm afraid.

  • im sure he could play that, but he clearly couldnt write that considering its been written, sorry but i sort of miss your point

  • Of course Frusciante could *play* it, he's pretty good with a guitar, you know. More importantly, he *wouldn't* play/write it, because it's certainly not his style. Great guitarists, both of them.

  • Some musics for his solo album area little like in this style... a little. But, he made a good work with his solo album :)

*bad english, im a poor brazillian who don't have money to pay english lessons*

  • no worries bro...me english and me no speeky good english

  • lol ur not bad man

  • meee

  • god words cant even explain of how much i love this band!!

  • i wish they played this song when i saw them in ATL

  • so amazing live.

  • GRANDI....!!!

  • Il miglior gruppo degli ultimi 15 anni volevo dire!!!

  • Il miglior gruppo degli ultimi 15!!!

  • just love it

  • O quebra cabeça se formou.

  • 3:33 - 4:00 I M DYIN AT THIS PART specialy on the album ver coz of good sound quality.I discovered radiohead this year, and i feel so lucky.i LOVE.

  • everything good sbout their smiths influence, and still ubiquitously radiohead. fuck you smiths fans who don't hear it.

  • its so wierd to even get the feeling from just watching it in a little box. i think if i saw them live i could just die right there and i wouldnt even care.

  • 3:23-3:33

  • ive met phil the drummer few months ago, and hes the most down to earth bloke ever, really appreciative of his fans, top bloke.

  • i saw them live at nissan pavilion and i was literally crying and singing the WHOLE time. AMAZING band.

  • As much as I'd like to see these guys in person, it'd be a huge health risk, given the 126% chance I'd faint.
