i made this dish for the first time and it was an epic fail. Readers, make sure you use the right rice stick. I used thin vermicelli noodle and it turned out awful :(. And chicken powder makes it taste a lot better, too!
I am half philippino and sure do miss my moms pancit!!Thanks for posting this video since i don't understand a word of my moms instructions on making it haha! Can't wait to cook this tonight! Thanks Foodaholics!
I'm filipino nd i love pansit..but i make it completely different..lol but your guys' way looks good too except for the red pepper..im allergic to em..=[ but good video anyways =]
you can use pork, chicken, or seafood. or a mixture of those. you may pit also chicken boulion for a stronger tast. add more soy sauce (but less salt) to make it brown. you may add any green leafy vegies and flat string-beans aside from the cabbage. vegetables must be half-cooked or else it will wilt.
you guys are a cool family. thanks for the recipe. this is something i could cook since i'm just starting to want to learn to cook things. i think i'm going to cook this for my 16th birthday. thanks and post more videos!
How long did you soak the Pancid Noodles for? This seems like a very affordable and a ONE PAN MEAL...got to love that. Where does flavor come from...did I miss a spice or something? Where is Smokey Goodness BBQ on as your T-Shirt?
Unlike pasta, the rice stick only needs to soak in luke warm water for about 15 minutes. The only spices used are a bit of garlic and a little soy sauce (The veggies add a nice mix of flavor).
Soy sauce and garlic are all you really need for a good stir-fried meal. A little pepper might help too. I would possibly add a few shakes of a chili sesame oil for some flavor and a little kick.
Luke water water won't stay luke warm for 15 minutes...so is cooled down water ok? and what is the texture of the noodle (PANCID) it looks really hard like paste and do you check it like pasta?...will it fall apart if soaked to long?...I just don't know...thanks.
That dish looks really good, I must say. I haven't heard of pancit before, but I liked all the ingredients and will try making it sometime. Thanks for showing us how to make this step by step... its gone into the "delicious" playlist! :)
I also love those shirts. Are they exclusive? Maybe I should have my own Foodaholics shirt. I have some of those iron-ons for the printer. Maybe I should make myself one.
@SmokeyGoodness AH! I don't have any of those. I can only do it on white. If you want to make the shirts, hold off. I want to put together an ad campaign of some sort with a slogan. So, I think I'd wait until I figure out the slogan to put on the shirt. Something like, "I'm a Foodaholic!" with the web address on the back with the logo on the front or something...I keep thinking big. ;-)
