not really...owning a dog is a big responsibility,he/she will be a part of your family,and we are obligated to them..

I have a maltese,bichon and a mix puppy.

I love them dearly and yes sometimes I treat them like a human in many ways

but they are my true friend,they depend on me and they love me unconditionally,they actually have their own room..dogs are amazing animals,given time and training they could actually understand you..

Garlic? We sell garlic supplements at the pet store i work in and almost all the dog foods have it in there. Garlic has health benefits for dogs as well as humans, just don't give them tons a day, like anything, too much is not good. Onions and grapes/raisins I know are bad, as well as chocolate, obviously.
