Being ticklish can turn off, like in the event of a robbery. It's like being drunk, sometimes you can sober up way fast because of something that is happening.

The fun part is that there are actually people out there whose brains translate "tickling" straight into pain. Personally I'm way ticklish, but being tickled 90% of the time triggers panic attacks and anxiety to the point that I get violent because my brain thinks I'm under attack. Fun times.
