Whilst hair-transplants are fantastic, there is a down-side to them aswell.
you see, the surgeons, can only replace what you have lost, they can only replace the 100% bald shiney areas, and cannot replace the areas where you still have thin hair.
so it's best to wait until you have lost your hair totally on top - then get a complete hair-transplant.

I noticed mine going around 17, but im 34 now and still have fair coverage, in the right light of course, although my forehead is more fivehead these days, and my nose looks bigger. Anyway, don't fret, only real men go bald, it's not the end of the world. Maybe it is in the states, but in the UK it's no big deal, cos we're all ugly and have bad teeth anyway:)

cut the sides, leave the top long, don't comb it more than 3 strokes per day (just enough to comb it right after a shower) and you should be ok if you are using the 3 remedies recommended by the internet ( propecia, laser comb, and rogaine).

look m8...if you want to keep your hair keep them short like 3-6 number believeme you will look great...and dont listen to myths like dont shampoo your hair and all those drugs avoid them if you want my opinion...live your life and if your hair falls they did it...you will still look great...have faith to yourself!!
Unfortunetly for some people it's genetic. Some lose it early like yourself or others like most lose it later in their 30's or 40's, it really just depends on your genetics...really, the hand your dealt. I watched your other video and it sounds like you've tried everything, maybe you might consider a hair transplant. It works surprisingly well today and looks natural, the best thing is it stays in place for the rest of your life. But you must find a reputable doctor to do it for you.

ive been on propecia for 3 months. No hair has grown back but it def stopped falling out. You should get on it while u can and save what u have now. It will regrow some hair after 9 months of use. Im hopeful i will have good results.
You should use Avodar (dutasteride). Avodar blocks the two types of enzyme that conversts testosterone into DHT, while Finasteride (propecia) blocks only one type.
Avodart reduces much more DHT, and is more effective than finasteride, specially in persons with agressive androgenetic alopecia. Agressive alopecia requires more reduction of DHT,
You should also use minoxidil (rogain) but it cause a shedding of hair in the first one or two months.
While growing up I cut my hair when it got long and wait till it got long again like once every 6 months so it never really got thick. Anyway now I am trying to keep my head away from sunlight and cut it every month and so far it seems like it is getting thicker but the hair that was gone is still gone :( If you have any ideas let me know. I am thinking of getting a lazercomb soon.

@FromBaldToBold Well just think about the reason why god gave us hair in the first place to protect the scalp cause it is the closest body part to the sun. Hair is suppose to protect but if you let the sun tan or sunburn your head it will make a harder surface on your head and it probably won't let hair come through as easy. @ItalianLeprechaun I heard about the laser comb but I'm not sure if it worked. I saw an episode where one had a hair transplant, one did the laser comb, one did medication and there was one more but I'm not sure what they did. Of course the HT one did the best.
I beleive that getting a sunburn on my scalp a few years ago was the cause of hairloss. If you notice guys with long hair don't lose their hair much but when someone cuts their hair really short that exposes the scalp to sun then they start losing hair. I also think that when you are young you should keep cutting your hair to get your hair thicker for when you are older.
Hey I am 33 and I been getting balder since I was 30 and it sucks. I tryed a few things so far. I tryed Provillus, Regenetresse, NuHair and they all don't seem to work to well. I have a feeling the cause of mine is DHT in my scalp. NuHair helped it not fall out as much but it cost $25 a month. You can get it at CVS. I just don't want something to only provent it from falling out and use up my bank account.
Really like your attitude. Im 30, been losing my hair 10 years. Tried nearly everything, hair systems are expensive because you need 3 a year and transplants only work well with thick hair. Propecia works best for me and has slowed my hair loss so I still look okay but worried long term use could be bad for you.
I work my life around my hair; I dont swim, go to the gym in a cap and avoid certain situations. My advice to anyone is get used to it and dont let your hair loss rule you life.
I would say shave it all off. I started getting bald myself and did everything to hide it. Then one day I was tired of it and shave it all off. I have a bald head now for almost three years and it was the best thing I ever did with my hair. I probably had done it if I hadn't hair problems. You will be bald one day so why not take matters in your hands. It saves a lot of time and money.

@th3MUTT its effectiveness is limited to the top and back of the head and usually wont grow back anything substantial. It does work really well to stop more from falling out though.
I plan to use bosley later on in life when i get older, maybe around 30-40. Im 23 right now, some people in my family lost their hair, but im going to try them later on, just got to save up until then ;)

i hate all that people that says that hair loss is about nutrition or because the of the hairstyle. Or that if you use certain shampoo the problem would be solved. It is much more complex than that. Hair loss can be caused from lack of nutrition. Try eating more raw organic fruits and vegetables and try supplementing zinc and msm sulphur. Also make sure you are getting enough vitamin c.

Try shampooing with Nizoral. I have almost the exact same type of hairloss. I've been in the same situation for the past 5 years with really only moderate loss. The thing is - I the areas where I used Minoxodil - years ago - over 5 years ago are the areas where it's really gone.
Minoxodil will cause your hair to thing forever. The stuff should be banned.
Thanks I'm not really worried about it anymore. I've learned there is nothing I can do to stop it. I tried all the FDA approved products. So I gave it my best shot now it's time to just deal with it.
It takes skill I'll say that. I use a 2-sided mirror and be really careful when I cut the top. The sides and back are easy though. I just try to even it out really. It barely grows in the middle of my scalp.

Whilst hair-transplants are fantastic, there is a down-side to them aswell.
you see, the surgeons, can only replace what you have lost, they can only replace the 100% bald shiney areas, and cannot replace the areas where you still have thin hair.
so it's best to wait until you have lost your hair totally on top - then get a complete hair-transplant.

I started going bald when I was 26, I'm 28 now, started happening to me around 2 years ago, and I have to say, it sucks so much, it's 1 of the worst things I've had to deal with in my life. I can barely bring myself to look in the mirror, it's almost destroyed me.

It's sh1t mate I know, I understand your situation. I noticed mine going around 17, but im 34 now and still have fair coverage, in the right light of course, although my forehead is more fivehead these days, and my nose looks bigger. Anyway, don't fret, only real men go bald, it's not the end of the world. Maybe it is in the states, but in the UK it's no big deal, cos we're all ugly and have bad teeth anyway:)

Your hair is fine like mine and I know how it is to have the greasies all the damn time. within 4 hours of washing my hair I have them.
First the thickness goes then the hair goes from everything I have read and seen. From my own personal battle with this I know that to be a fact.
I am twice your age but it still sucks to go bald no matter what your age because of the assholes in the world that look down on you. Finding a job as a bald person is extremely harder than with a full set of hair

cut the sides, leave the top long, don't comb it more than 3 strokes per day (just enough to comb it right after a shower) and you should be ok if you are using the 3 remedies recommended by the internet ( propecia, laser comb, and rogaine).

I started losing my hair around 17 and then it stopped. But when it was done with me i had really thin hair. It was terrible then I got used to it but i always felt like people were looking at me weird. Then i said fuck it and went to a solon and got it shaved down with a 4 guard. To my surprise and the stylist I had the perfect head to shave and the hairline was awesome lol! So then i said take it down to a 2 guard all around and just be done. And I couldn't be happier.

Unfortunetly for some people it's genetic. Some lose it early like yourself or others like most lose it later in their 30's or 40's, it really just depends on your genetics...really, the hand your dealt. I watched your other video and it sounds like you've tried everything, maybe you might consider a hair transplant. It works surprisingly well today and looks natural, the best thing is it stays in place for the rest of your life. But you must find a reputable doctor to do it for you.

ive been on propecia for 3 months. No hair has grown back but it def stopped falling out. You should get on it while u can and save what u have now. It will regrow some hair after 9 months of use. Im hopeful i will have good results.

You should use Avodar (dutasteride). Avodar blocks the two types of enzyme that conversts testosterone into DHT, while Finasteride (propecia) blocks only one type.
Avodart reduces much more DHT, and is more effective than finasteride, specially in persons with agressive androgenetic alopecia. Agressive alopecia requires more reduction of DHT,
You should also use minoxidil (rogain) but it cause a shedding of hair in the first one or two months.

While growing up I cut my hair when it got long and wait till it got long again like once every 6 months so it never really got thick. Anyway now I am trying to keep my head away from sunlight and cut it every month and so far it seems like it is getting thicker but the hair that was gone is still gone :( If you have any ideas let me know. I am thinking of getting a lazercomb soon.

@FromBaldToBold Well just think about the reason why god gave us hair in the first place to protect the scalp cause it is the closest body part to the sun. Hair is suppose to protect but if you let the sun tan or sunburn your head it will make a harder surface on your head and it probably won't let hair come through as easy. I am not a doctor but that seems like common sense. I am wondering if a laser haircomb would help make your hair follicles heather again.

I beleive that getting a sunburn on my scalp a few years ago was the cause of hairloss. If you notice guys with long hair don't lose their hair much but when someone cuts their hair really short that exposes the scalp to sun then they start losing hair. I also think that when you are young you should keep cutting your hair to get your hair thicker for when you are older.

Hey I am 33 and I been getting balder since I was 30 and it sucks. I tryed a few things so far. I tryed Provillus, Regenetresse, NuHair and they all don't seem to work to well. I have a feeling the cause of mine is DHT in my scalp. NuHair helped it not fall out as much but it cost $25 a month. You can get it at CVS. I just don't want something to only provent it from falling out and use up my bank account.

Really like your attitude. Im 30, been losing my hair 10 years. Tried nearly everything, hair systems are expensive because you need 3 a year and transplants only work well with thick hair. Propecia works best for me and has slowed my hair loss so I still look okay but worried long term use could be bad for you.
I work my life around my hair; I dont swim, go to the gym in a cap and avoid certain situations. My advice to anyone is get used to it and dont let your hair loss rule you life.

I would say shave it all off. I started getting bald myself and did everything to hide it. Then one day I was tired of it and shave it all off. I have a bald head now for almost three years and it was the best thing I ever did with my hair. I probably had done it if I hadn't hair problems. I'm 21 and thinning on the top too, my hairline is saying goodbye at the same time though :( Your hair looks pretty good though, you hide it well! I just can't be bothered, I've shaved it to a #0 and I think I'll keep it like that, I'm going to try minoxidil/rogaine and nizoral and see if that does anything but I won't hold my breath, and I won't try propecia, I'd rather be bald than have messed up hormones...

Hair loss can be caused from lack of nutrition. Try eating more raw organic fruits and vegetables and try supplementing zinc and msm sulphur. Also make sure you are getting enough vitamin c.

Great videos man, It really does suck to have hair loss in the early 20s. Every doctor has something different to say about this topic. I guess it's best to save what you got. Perhaps staying healthy and eating healthy would promote hair regeneration. Best of luck to you.

Try shampooing with Nizoral. I have almost the exact same type of hairloss. I've been in the same situation for the past 5 years with really only moderate loss. The thing is - I the areas where I used Minoxodil - years ago - over 5 years ago are the areas where it's really gone.
Minoxodil will cause your hair to thing forever. The stuff should be banned.

also, I notice my hair is much thinner when I eat spicy food. I heard this years ago and it appears to be true. Good luck.

Keep hoping that Gene Therepy will make a break through in treating hairloss by making your hair resistant to DHT.

Thanks I'm not really worried about it anymore. I've learned there is nothing I can do to stop it. I tried all the FDA approved products. So I gave it my best shot now it's time to just deal with it.

How do you cut it yourself? looks like the sides of your head are pretty easy, but how do you taper it to the top?

It takes skill I'll say that. I use a 2-sided mirror and be really careful when I cut the top. The sides and back are easy though. I just try to even it out really. It barely grows in the middle of my scalp.

I probably was sad at that time I made the video, I was in denial over my hair loss. I don't care now that I'm going blad. I've gotten use to it. Heck I even make jokes about my bald spots now to people. 6 months ago I would have never done that lol.
