I just saw the VW bulli bus and it looks horrible. it looks like any other car. where's the room to put a bed? or a sink? The classics have more character. Bring those back and don't redesign them.

There's the historical aspect yes, but there's also the unique look, VERY versatile, easy and cheap- even today to maintain, cheap(er) to run. No heat, so not the best for a Canadian daily driver, but one of the best things is that they are a blast to drive. There's nothing like it.

very true, I have a 71 bay window(same platform, slightly different body) and it runs great. Very reliable. No heater, but they make aftermarket kits. about 20-25 miles per gallon :]
