Owen was not put on sale, Rafa tried to make him stay, he wanted "Champions league football" so he went to Madrid. Then he wanted money so he went to Newcastle. Then he sold out for glory and went to United. Then he got injured and got what he deserved....sod all.

Madrid didnt play him so he went to newcastle, newcastle got relegated so he had either man u or stoke to pick from, not very difficult choice, started to play very well and was starting to play better than berbatov then got injured again. Im a liverpool fan so im sad to see him playin for man u but it wasnt his choice to leave

I was a big big Michael Owen fan, when he was still 18 and playing for Liverpool, and partly because of him i supported Liverpool. Him and Liverpool seem to be an item, i never once imagine him playing for manchester united. it is like trying to imagine alex ferguson coaching liverpool. or arsene wenger coaching MU. it is just what you joke about, but never thought it will actually come true one day.
