A brilliant video from Llyod. I will be buying his books and DVDs when I can find them at local stores. All those who agree with Llyod should check out My videos and website.

  • this guy is an idiot..

  • This is guy is full of lies. This is how brainwashing is done. Read some of his stuff. Its all about mommy as the guilty party for all humanity woes. I think this comes from the old testament. the guy is shill.

No sources to his work. Just on and on about how people molest their young making it sound like it is a common thing. This is straight out of that "other" book...the one from khazaria. REALLY CREEPY. People need to learn to think about what they are being told by the his ilk. Evil!!

  • @catchtheshill Care to elaborate on your positions?

  • search "german state encourages incestuous pedophilia" germany sent literature (mandatory reading) to 9 districts instructing them how to molest their infants and children. believe it.

  • Most cultures have socially accepted ways to "molest" babies and young children. This has nothing to do with Germany. Every nation does this in its own way and own time to its own people. Now, since the first time in human history, everyone is--so to speak--"in the same room together" these vestigial habits will dissolve.

  • I also have problem with what he said at 0:42. It is completely irrelevent whether the wars were rational or not. Motivations do not have to be rational.

0:56, actually Germany was the prime industrial center in Europe at the time and still is to some extent today. Germany would (and was) more powerful than the individual nations around it. Yes, Hitler was suicidal, but DeMause is still wrong about some tings.

  • No one is right about everything.

  • I DeMause is right and wrong about some things.

His explanation for WW2 makes a lot of sense to me. His arguement that nations did not go to war because of economic desires is baloney. People today in the 21st still have trouble understanding economics. Who knows how stupid people would be regarding economics back in ancient times.

  • I think that the point is that they had underlying psychological motivations for choosing violence as a way of mitigating economic disputes.

  • The desire is not necessarily sociopathic though. The desire is more likely a result of stupidity. I just have a problem attributing to malice what can easily be attributed to incompetence.

  • We're talking about the reason that violence is associated with resolution of conflicts in the psyche of people perpetrating war, not the motivation of the conflict.

    What's stupidity?

  • Now, you're talking about politics and ethics. Not motivations. Psychohistory studies historical motivations to events. I feel like you're leading me way off topic.

  • Well maybe we're using confusing terms. There is the motivation, the underlying psychological basis for ones choice of reaction to events, and then there is the excuse, the event itself.

There is no benefit to using violence to resolve a conflict, so the motivation has to be psychological.

  • But most people do not agree that violence concurs no benefits. It's becuase of logically inconsistent approaches to ethics and stupidity regarding economics they believe this. It's not because people's desires are sociopathic. I know because I used to be part of the mainstream.

  • @Jcolinsol, I must agree, however to say it is a suicidal motivation may not always be the case as he states in the video. there are many psychological paths to war and disputes.

  • Now this is a real thinker the likes I haven't seen in quite some time.

  • Superb. Lloyd DeMause is brilliant and his work critical.

  • he does not have that smooth way of tallkin about things that academics have, and he has been sidelined. But that's because he was one of the first to lay it on the line about the routine abuse of children.

  • This is great. Thanks for posting. Alice Miller also discusses Hitler's abusive childhood in "Thou Shalt Not Be Aware."

  • Is this DVD out? Where can I find it?

  • Dear ellandelachappelle, Thanks for your insight and excitement on this. Have you read DeMauses book's the Foundations of Psychohistory, or the emotional life of nations? I think you can see them on the Psychohistory website (easy to find on the web).

  • Wasn't it sort of a strange coincidence that the Big Bang theory was created after the detonations of the nuclear bombs? (correct me if I am wrong, but this theory of the ceation of the universe did NOT appear before this??)

  • This was a whole new idea! He was suicidal?? (very interesting.) Did you know that his LAST order to his generals was to destroy all of Germany?? (they didn't obey. They weren't THAT crazy!) Like he wanted all of Germany to be dragged along in his own suicide! Of course, it makes you think about all the nuclear bombs in the world. The world leaders must know that a nuclear war would destroy the planet??

  • @ellandelachapelle Hey man, you might be interesting in checking out his free audiobook "The Origins of War in Child Abuse" read by Stefan Molynuex. You can find it at freedomain radio dot com.

  • Prof DeMause is a brilliant analyst of geopolitics and has created paradigm-changing views on the applications of psychology and psychohistory. I look forward to this DVD.

  • The US colonies got a whole big continent out of fighting off Britain.

  • His diction is disappointingly unpolished, but I'm looking forward to this project regardless. Will buy when it comes out (assuming price is not exorbitant).
