I'm not a gamer but I reckon this would look great on a scale model diorama. It'll breath some life into something that is really quite static. Thanks for the great tutorial and giving me some ideas.
@maledfist Your welcome bud.. Im the same way about 'static' looks.. Im more into modeling as you are.. As you are, you want to add a little spark to your diaromas.. Glad this tutorial helped..
@18F4V You are very welcome.. You spend so much time painting up your models, and beuilding your army, shouldnt you have nice smoke markers too? :) quick, easy, and looks fantastic.
Bro!!! Ive been looking for those tea lighting thingy forever here in Singapore.... I know nothing about electronics, so i cant make one myself... Great tutorial!!!!
Freaking SWEEET! I have a box of I think 60 of these tea lights I bought off ebay about 3 months ago and nevr got around to doing anything with em!! Cheers mate thanks for sharing!
First off let me just say that these look absolutely fantastic! But I was wondering if they might look a bit better if you started of spraying them fire colors and then went with the black for the smoke? I just wonder if that would be too much paint? Did you experiment with this, or did you just go black from the outset?
@Giaus23 hmm that is an awesome tip.. I didnt try, or havent tryed painting it another color.. That might work actually for a plasma blast.. maybe a blue.. it would be interesting to see what color could be achieved!... Thanks for your comment bud.. I will have to try it.
Seen them in few battle reports and think they are very cool. Some people may be able to find those items at Hobby Lobby in the States too. Also may be able to buy componets at Raido Shack.
