  • im 14 and ive been brainwashed with the boss since i was born and have seen him in concert about 8 times. i say he comes back o philly for one more time around!

  • i love the 20,000 person back-up chorus. : )

was part of it - great fucking memory......

  • @alyse1969

One of the best versions of Thunder Road I've seen. Awesome with the crowd singing the whole way through too. A very passionate performance, loved every second of it. Great audio quality too.

  • thumbs up if you were @ this concert! :D i was, and it was my first concert ever! so glad I got to experience this!

  • why would anyone come on here and trash talk???? You ppl who are bad mouthin each other are plankton...this is a wonderful, touching tribute to a man who deserves nothing less..have some respect for christ's sake....makes me sick....also, F*CK anyone who badmouths Philly...

  • It sounded like those 18,000 people were singing that song to Harry. What a great version of Thubder Road. ONLY IN PHILLY

  • Swing and a long drive that ball is outta here!! nothing better than that sound by harry k RIP

  • I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT NIGHT, THANKS HARRY AND THANKS BRUCE. LET'S GO PHILS!!!!!

  • i was there screaming every word up in section 425 ill remember this song forever with him giving homage to harry kalas and the crowd goin absolutly crazy through the entire song it was awesome

  • everyone whos sayin hes a jackass is completely wrong! just go and epically fail in your little house corner.

  • This was amazing.

  • This just made me tear up a little We Miss you Harry!!! The voice may be gone but the memories will last a lifetime... and this touching tribute from Bruce is just one more reason why Philly is an amazing City...

  • @PhilliesPhan73 Made me tear up a lot. Amazing tribute, especially the nod to Whitey. Very cool, very sly, very classy, very Bruce.

  • I was there that night. ...gettin chills reliving this moment!

  • Im not a big Boss fan but ths song is ok.

  • wow anthony king of kings,,,, springsteen is like my 2nd father...... hes my idol

  • FUCK YOU, ASSHOLE! YOU ARE A JOKE!

  • could be my favorite in-person springsteen moment ever - so sweet, great crowd involvement, and such a great fucking song. pretty perfect. so glad i was there.

  • Tremendous respect from Bruce. I remain touched to this day.

The real giveaway that it wasn't grandstanding was the imitation of Whitey's famous "Hard to believe, Harry" line.

  • ignore larry c he does it o every video

  • Disrespectful? I think Harry would've loved it!

  • What a great tribute to Harry Kalas . . . I was there, and it was so moving.

  • no... he rules

  • i'll never forget hearing harry kalas' voice filling the spectrum like that...or how the first strains of "thunder road" immediately followed it. i put my head on my mom's shoulder and cried. it was amazing.

and the comment about philly is so true. i was at this show, the october 9th show at giants stadium and this past wednesday's (10/14) show back at the spectrum and the feeling inside the spectrum (both times) was just beyond anything i've ever experienced.

  • @inherbarefeet

I hear ya! This was the first time my soon-to-be wife had heard Thunder Road live. It was such a magical moment for her. Didn't get to hear Rosalita that night (one night late!!) but this was well worth it!!

  • This show was unbelieveable...i skipped school and drove 3hours to Philly...It was just amazing

  • OCTOBER 20TH!!!! ITS GONNA BE GREAT

  • That was nice of Bruce to do. That was a great call by Harry.

  • Remember we aint that young anymore, but Bruce still is the best-seen him only 21 times. Hurry to California, we miss you.

  • We love you Harry!

  • drumming is too overpowering for this song. shouldnt be standing out like that. still, he's good and great song. play it live in dublin!!

  • do you know anything about drumming? hes playing a simple basic rock beat throughout the entire song.

  • look at your influences idiot. enough said.

  • ...Brill song Bruce !!! What fans just great to compliment this song - please play this in Dublin as well Boss, I ask a lot but just love your concerts and I am coming up to RDS via Thunder Road from Cork county !!!! xxxxxxxx

  • Love the lyrics! You rock Bruce!

  • One of the greatest songs ever written.

  • This is AWESOME ... the way he goes from the Late-GREAT Harry Kalas (who had just passed away before this Philly Show) to one of the best rock songs of all time is classic. Come on back to Philly Bruce, youre always welcome!

  • I never heard a crowd react like after this... And ive been to 6 Bruce shows

  • Ive been to 63+ Philadelphia is true to Bruce, and he knows it! Philadelphia in the early 70's continuously played his music until you where forced to feel the power! But seeing him brings you into a world of Euphoria!

  • The 2 most inflential voices in my life have been Harry Kalas and Bruce Springsteen. As a life long Phillies fan, Harry has been a part of my life since 1972. When I first started listening to Harry, my radio took several minute to "warm up". When I first heard Bruce on Philadelphia radio it was on WMMR. Michael Tearson 'til 2, Ed Sciackey and David Dye played his records before the rest of the USA knew who he was. It was cool to be at this show. The Philly shows are the best.

  • i was there and it was the BEST Bruce show i've ever seen. Come back again!!!!!!!

  • End Of September or Early October 3 more shows in Philadelphia

  • u know or just saying?

  • I KNOW

  • 3 more at Giants Stadium, 3 more in Philly and 3 more in NY.

That's the facts but it has not been officially announced only Giant Stadium because they show have not been officially booked...but they will be soon...

    PROMICE

  • ive been to six boss concerts. by far the best perfomer ive ever seen. but this was by far the best one ive ever been too.

  • That was awesome.

  • Holy sh*t! This is awesome...thank you for uploading this!

Harry was a god and watching the Phillies just is not the same.

  • I was there the day before!! Section 201 row three seats 9 10 and 11

  • The tip of the hat to Whitey says Bruce actually listened to he and Harry back in the day. This night was goosebumps electric...listen to the crowd. Like it was their last night on earth, or in the Spectrum!

  • Or it says that someone told him to say that

  • is the rest of the dvd this great quality? The sreen-shot dvds are the best as long as they're this steady

  • fantastic

  • Thank You must go out to Rob Charry of sportsradio 610 WIP - Philadelphia for getting Harry the K to record the grand slam call for Bruce. Harry we all miss you very much...

  • i know just saying he is a worthy replacement

wonder what european shows he will do?!

  • jay weinberg is such a good drummer

  • So is Max !

  • This is insanely cool. Thank you.

The coolest part for me was the "Hard to believe, Harry" Whitey reference. Amazing.

  • Same here...not sure if a lot of people got that.

  • I sure got the reference to His Whiteness!

Although I'm not a big Bruce fan, I definitely give him major props for his tribute to Harry.

Don't forget - Bruce grew up down the Jersey shore.

  • Thank you so much for posting this!

  • Amazing...i was at this show. Nice of him to tribute to Harry the K

  • god bless u for loading this; this was freaking amazing at the show. very grateful to be able to rewatch. many thanks. : )
