  • it looks like the thing from the movie with the demigod, someone help me out here?

  • @MrRonwhite Percy Jakcson?

  • what is this???

  • Ash: Tanzanian Giant Tailless Whipscorpion I choose you *cue pokemon theme*

  • on fear factor, contestants had to eat as many of those as they could :X

  • I really appreciate you including the scientific classification in the video title.

  • Throw a Pokeball at that bitch!

  • i saw this bug crawl on my arm and it stayed there for a half an hour. my sister was creeped out by it. it was hilarious. :)

  • I found one of those in a school trip to Nayarit.. they hiss when threatened and are so incredibly cute as younglings

  • docile yeah they are, but also these are pretty fast when provoked and try to watch them attack a cricket - there is no mercy in this, they are like real predators during the attack.

  • Despite the evil outward appearance, these things are usually docile, and make great pets. They'd hurt you bad if you were a spare cricket or a stray cockroach though. But that's about it. I personally think they're cute in the way a crab is.

  • They ate these poor guys live like 100 times on fear factor

  • im held one of these today at a prtshoptheir pretty nice animals compared to other inverts.

  • The Klendathiens are actually insects due to 6 limbs and an amblypygid is an arachnid so no they wouldn't be in an insect colony unless they would be attacking it but that would be interesting to see an enemy other than humans

  • Harmless? Really? Wow. It looks like it could totally ruin your day.

  • Completely and totally harmless...but still fascinating!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm planning on getting several in the next few months. Most amazing, beautiful, ugly things on the planet! Lol!

  • This thing could easily hold me hostage in my car indefinitely if it were on the windshield. ilk

  • @pheyn0m im pretty sure its harmless, a lady ate a live one on fear factor, i think their along the lines of a daddy long leg except a big uglier and bigger

  • this may all be true information, however, this psyche would not process the sight of this thing logically. At least not without much training and hands on experience, we're talking years here.

  • lol i would probably do the same, but at the same time i would be facinated

  • It looks like the spider from Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire.

  • it is the same one its a whip spider or tailess whip scorpion, very interesting!!!!!!!

  • This guy could be a cross-breed between a facehugger from Alien and one of those things from Starship Troopers

  • @cuestaluis The thing from starship troopers just for info are either caled "The Bugs" or "The Arachnid"

  • on fear factor, they had to eat something like that. lmfao.

  • thats one bad ass bug right there

  • thats wierd it looks like a mix of a scorpion and tarantula....and creepy looking.

  • My third stop on videos of creatures that scare the shit out of me.

  • I had three of these as pets. They are totally harmless, they just get big and scary looking. They tame down and you can handle them no problem, they eat baby mice, crickets, lizards, anything they come accross.

  • Okay, I loved my old pet Vinegaroone, but there is no way in hell that I would want one of those things!

  • lol it's that one spider type creature from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban when the guy with the funny eye (lol I forgot his name) uses the cruciartis curse (sp?) to show everyone what it does

  • I know. I didn't know that they really existed until a pet shop near my house accidently got one in and didn't know what it was. Then I did more research on them and bought it from them. They're really fun pets, although mine was a bit agressive.

  • About to buy the smaller spieces... Damon Diadema, but would love to get a "giant" as well... Question: Can they be kept in groups or should they be kept singular?

  • They can be kept in groups, especially damon diadema. But give them vertical space and places to hide. D.diadema are communal when young and the mother cares for them until their third moult it seems. I have 10 d.diadema young together and two adults in another tank. Awesome creatures they are.

  • cool stuff! we have tailless whipscorpions here in Cancun

  • Really? In Cancun? I'm from Mexico, i didn't knew it... I'm scared, but this bug is fantastic!

  • In mexico you have the largest species of these in the world Acanthophrynus Kraepelin. Can you post me some? :-) Body length of 5 cm or so
