It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship, not only in the show but in real life, and not only between the 2 of them but everyone, from then on, who sits down and watches the show.

This has got to be the most unforgettable scene (and also my favorite) on The Golden Girls. I'm so sorry to hear that Bea Arthurs passed away recently, and Estelle Getty died not too long ago. May they both rest in peace. Thanks for the laughs.
i think rue and bea are truly laughing and not acting this. i don't know how betty gets through it!

I'll be 19 in a week - and this is one of my favorite shows. I watch it daily and love it. I can quote nearly every episode. Especially this one.
