  • 0 information how to breath!!! Breathing is the most important part of any exercise and so many instructors skip it!

  • @Zingam Care to elaborate as your post was equally not as helpful :)? What do you consider best breathing technique when rowing? I'd imagine exhaling as you start to push off with your feet?

  • fail!

  • What are you guys talking about?? Soo much wrong!! So she lifts her back a tinsy bit early on the drive, she looks Waaay Better than most of the people I teach, she does finebetter than most of the people I teach!!

  • bought it today and looking forward to rowing

  • Dear manofpopsicle516, OK so it has been years since I rowed seriously, and yes I do realise I lift my back a little early on the drive & it is something I am working on but I would not go as far to say that there is 'SO much wrong with my stroke'...

  • You have a pretty good form. Most of what I've seen on YouTube is not as good as yours. You'll stay in good shape with that. I'm debating over whether to get a water or air rower.

  • There's SO much wrong with her stroke. Tons of people said them already though soooo...xD

The main thing I noticed is that she lifts her back before she drives her legs.

  • haha I

    V

  • i can make fruit juice in this machine?

  • lol

  • In addition to opening up way too early, she needs to work on flexibility to keep her heels down at the catch. Moreover, she would benefit from slowing down the last six inches of her slide. Finally she should smooth out and quicken her finish - she's pausing in bow and would get stuck there in a boat. Time to start rowing feet out!

  • she also lacks a proper rock over before she breaks her knees. I'm not sure what u mean about her lifting her heals, i've allways been told to get my weight onto my toes when comming forwards.

  • lifting your heals is the only way to gain enough lenght at the catch.

  • orisis im 13 and i do that 2 =] any 1 heard of mat tarrant? well im his lil ro elliot tarrant

  • nice form its just that my coach always yelled at me for opening my back a little early like u do. she says i lost some power cuz of it.

  • I'm trying to learn indoor rowing. Does opening up the back too early mean leaning back too early like this: \, when it should be more vertical like this: 1. If so, damn! I have that problem.

  • well she said u should have ur body leaned over ur legs as long as possible until ur almost done with the leg drive then start to swing ur body backwards then bring in the hands to about ur nipple

  • Okay...I understand. I tend to lean back too early in the drive. I'll try to take your coach's advice (thank her for me!) and try not to open up my back too early. Thanks for the tip.

  • yep even though i dont know when that will be seeing as how i have a new coach this year. my coach is the former coach of Winter Park crew in Orlando that went to the Henley in England i think thats where it was.

  • Well, Winter Park were the 2007 State Champs, so probably an excellent coach. Very best of luck!
