What does shooting on RAW mean? What is the difference between that and Jpeg etc. Does it mean that you can manipulate the image later better? I notice that you always shoot on RAW. Does that mean it's the best format?
@Appleaddict22 Yes RAW will give better quality results, more data is captured. But the RAW files do need processing so it s not as convinient as jpg. You also have the option of shooting RAW +JPG to ge tth bes tof both worlds only down side is it will take up more card space. Rick
@majorbs RAW is a file format , thinko fit like a film negative or like a master CD compares to MP3 compressed music. RAW captures more data and dymanic range than JPEG plus allows you do do more in post processing. Yes it takes more time to deal with RAW files but the result are worth it. Rick
@darryl1006 For landscape I would use AV (Apature Priority) or Manual. Nott o say that you wont get good results with landscape mode. Your main concern with landscapes is DOF (Depth of field) as you want every thing to render in focus/sharpe through out the image. Rick
Please disregard my previous question, I just read your answer to another person asking the same thing!
