  • I'm really happy to hear that you are not a concealer fan! I have been struggling with concealer for a long time, and find that it often makes the situation worse (probably a testament to my skill and not the concealer itself) but it's nice to hear someone say it's not a must!

  • @strumpet101 Not necessarily! Focus on using a very hydrating eye cream to heal the skin first and then worry about concealer later ;)

  • I love it

  • you look beautiful without makeup

  • hey rae just wondering where your lashes are from? its not listed in your makeup list! thanks :)

  • @kcbanana93 They're Model 21 lashes but some of my subscribers have told me they can't find them, must have been discontinued :/ Sorry!

  • You're so nice

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • lol!!! i can just imagine that chinchilla banging on its cage!

  • @Yelloats Sometimes he will bang throughout the night :(

  • I love the look! Super fresh and wearable :). I also love the way you did your brows! Great vid, Rae!

  • Hey Rae, just wondering I didnt catch what brand your flesh tone eye pencil is from. It is the exact colour Im looking for. :)

  • you look amazing in this video omg!

  • I want your nose!

  • Hi Rae, how do you like that new translucence powder by lancome? I think that I might 350 bisque as well?

  • @Biquis1 I really love it! It's not cakey at all, very sheer, as to not disrupt the rest of the make-up if you use it to touch up later in the day!

  • hello please help me with my dry skin problems. i got sun burned two years ago on my face and til today i still get super dry skin on my nose and my nose only it has a massive dry patch, its to a point that everytime the seasons change my nose skin will actually start peel ... i really want to fix it but everytime i moisturize my nose the skin peels, if i dont use it peels more.

    help me

  • @murenhe You must continue to moisturize! Try using a pure aloe from Whole Foods and if all else fails, visit a dermatologist. If you were severely burned, you need to be careful!

  • Loved the eyes.

  • raeview i was thinking of getting the same pair of lenses as u! I was just wondering how's the enlargement effect? and would u recommend them? Thanks ! ^^

  • @chocochocopie They're a little larger than I prefer, not as insanely large as some others I've tried before, but they're very comfortable!

  • Would you recommend the horizon blush for ones who tend to prefer matte blushes? Also, would you say it's worth splurging for a student on a budget? The color looks so lovely (maybe an everyday blush?) but I can't seem to justify the price. Your opinion is greatly appreciated, thanks Rae! :)

  • @KayellaBella Yes and yes. It's a great everyday blush color!

  • sooo beautiful :)

  • Love Chanel too

  • i liked this make up before u applied the lip color ;p

  • where do you usually purchase your vernis?

do you have suggestions for where I can purchase them / for a discounted price?

  • What happened to your nail polish collection video Rae?

  • Hey I just realised your background is the same colour as your opening ^^

  • @o221 LOL Yes, you're the first person to comment about that! ;)

  • Hey Rae, i was just wondering what make and colour your contacts are? they are quite natural looking. Also did you also say that you had eyelid surgery before?

  • @kimwong2909 I always post the link to the information in the product list, found in the description box! And yes :)

  • Thanks for doing the review. I was just wondering if I should bother checking it out :)

  • I hope this doesn't sound weird or anything but I really like the way your voice sounds haha (: & I love your reviews!

  • @XxElsie7xX Thank you very much! I really appreciate that :)

  • are those contacts or your natural eye colour?

  • I really love this eye look. It looks so fresh and natural. ^_^

  • I really love they eye look. It just looks so fresh. ^_^

  • Rae, you look stunning. Amazing job and this collection seems great. Thanks for the review!<3

  • are you going to review any of the items from the knightsbridge collection??

  • @aznballer04 I haven't decided if it's worth it. I'm so busy trying to cover all these Spring collections, and Temptalia already reviewed most of the products on her blog, so I'd recommend you check those out if you're interested in ordering!

  • Really love Chanel, this is perfect love the blush colour :) so natural.. Would love to know where you get you're lashes from? The false ones as a have small eyes and find it hard to find nice ones to pop my eyes and make them better without turns of mascara! -3

  • @ChloeNettletonx I think the ones I used in the tutorial have been discontinued but you can find very similar styles from the Korean lash brand called Darkness!

  • Hi Rae

    Love you video alot

I am from Asia and would to know what is the best product to reduce scar from face? And what will be the best foundation to use in hot weather for oily skin?

    Annie

  • @Annie0109 A prescription product from a dermatologist would be your best bet to reduce significant scarring. Shiseido's Sun Protection Liquid Foundation is the best for oily skin in hot weather. Finish with the same line's powder foundation for all day wear and coverage!

  • I like how open you are with what's going on with you! That might sound silly but I sort of appreciate it.

  • i do love how you added little anecdotal comments during your tutorial :) makes it very entertaining to watch instead of mere application! not saying you need to do it every tutorial however, haha, just thought i should let you know i enjoyed your commentary!

  • @thegateau I'm glad to hear it! Thank you for the valuable feedback :)

  • I have tried ebay too but still couldnt find it. Thank you anyways!! I love your videos alot!!

  • @0306cai I'm sorry! Maybe they're discontinued? You can find similar styles by Darkness, a Korean lash brand :)

  • When you/your sister smile in certain angles, you remind me of lee hyori (:

  • what was the flesh coloured eyeliner you used?? great video

  • Saw the Horizon blush and Flirt lipstick as I was walking past the Chanel counter the other day and instantly fell in love with the colors. I was waiting for your inevitable review to decide whether or not they would be worth the purchase and it looks like they are! Thanks for this video. :) Wonderful tutorial, as always.

  • my birthday is also in april and the nail polish / makeup product is nice....u have such good review...love it.....i would love to get my hand on it...but due to my budget i ll skip it.... by the way u r so beautiful ...!!!!

  • Does April nail polish make your hand darker or not? I'm kinda nc40 :)

  • @wildJbunny No, the creamy jelly finish actually looks pretty bright out in the sun!

  • Beautiful! I really like the makeup look at the end. I might have to pick up that blush!

  • Love this tutorial. Gorgeous.

Btw what's your all time favorite foundation Rachel ?

  • Can you do a losing weight video plzzzzzzzz

  • @yy302 Once I achieve my target weight, I will film a losing weight video :)

  • could u please do a review for Chanel perfection foundation ???

  • Is this quad similar to stylish move from dior?

  • @simply4yoo No, Stylish Move is completely mauve/purple!

  • Hey Rae!<3

You haven't done the guerlain holiday 2010 EOTD yet. Is it coming up? Xx

  • Just bought April and May polishes. WOW!

  • Hi Rae,

Do you check on the ingredients before purchasing a product?

Cuz i noticed that a lot of cosmetics contains Parabens, fragrances, glycol etc in the ingredients......just curious on what's your take on them in the daily cosmetics used?

    Thanks!

  • Sorry, I meant June!! The apricot color.

  • I fell in love when you showed Chanel "April"....then I was slighty heartbroken when you said it takes 3 coats. Does it peel easily when 3 coats are applied? I seem to have bad luck when having to apply more than 2 coats of a polish. Thank you!! <3

  • @SimplyLetitaaa No, Chanel nail polishes never peel on me - only glitters do that!

  • Hey Rea, really nice review, but I do have a question regarding the linging of the eye with the brown pencil liner. if u create such a thick line, doesnt it ever rup of on ur upper crease line? Because thats what happens to me and i can hardly wear anything but liquid eyeliner... Is there a trick or do I have really mean eyelids?

    greetings from Germany^^

  • @Junnme1022 It helps to use a powder shadow or even a clear translucent power to set the liner from smudging ;)

  • omg love April!!!! birth month ftw lol

  • Great review Rae. I have a question, you probably get this all the time but you always apply your liners so perfectly whether it's pencil or liquid and you don't blink get it uneven or anything, does this come with time and practice or is there something I may be doing wrong. Thanks x

  • @ZeroCandy It's all practice!

  • Lol i love ur carefree "as long as it doesnt turn into cancerrrrrr" haha cracked me up.... unless u were serious.... then im sorry that wasnt funny

  • I know that back in oct. They were suppose to expand with darker foundation colors do u know if they ever did.

  • the eyeshadow quad doesn't look like anything special to me.

  • This didn't appear on my subscriptions lst!!!!!

  • Rae you are so gorgeous and I love your informative reviews! Hows the coverage for the Chanel foundation that you use in this tutorial? Thanks. You're one of my favorites to watch <3

  • @laz1xbebe Thank you! It's a solid medium :)

  • never mind dont answer me lol i just found out your fav night cream ... ==" i just saw 2011 hit and misses vid. good night :D

  • thanks for your reply!!! i think i will stick with my eye brow pencil for now until i get better :D

please share what is your favor. night cream??? im looking for a good hydrating cream to wear at night

    thanks again!!!!

  • Hi Rae can you make a review on Chanel Soleil Bronzer

  • Great review Rae. The blush is to-die-for!

  • is laura mercier secret camouflage more recommended than their regular concealer?

  • I just tried your tip re. dark liner followed by coloured shadow on top to intensify! It REALLY works! Great tip Rae - thanks so much. ^_^ I'm very happy because I have olive/tan skin, so I can finally add a bit of colour to my eyes without it appearing muddy or dull. Woohoo!

  • Hi Rae!<3 I used the Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation that you recommended to me a month ago. It truly does provide wonderful coverage and my skin looks flawless. I love the finish and it makes my skin feel soft, but it seems to motivated itchiness after 4 hours of wear. Would the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua be worth the purchase? Do you think it is suitable for my eczyma skin?

  • @SrawberryFizz I'm sorry to hear that! Have you tried using a primer underneath? Chanel's VA is a lot more sheer and the color range is similar so it's up to you! I prefer SC to VA, more versatile coverage :)

  • @SrawberryFizz Chanel VA provides a sheer to medium coverage, and of course, you can build it up to a full coverage by layering. One down side of this foundation though it doesn't look natural. I have to mix it with some Missha BB cream to get that skin like texture. Another down side is VA tends to slip and slide after 4 hrs+. You will need either a really good setting powder or keep blot very often.

  • the eye look looks like just one shimmery color with some liner.. Not impressed by that quad! I would never pay the price for that!

  • Omg I love the may nailpolish plus my bday is on 25 may

  • So cute with your concealer-story :3l Love your video!

  • I have to admit that other than the June nail polish, I was not impressed with the Chanel 2012 Spring collection. I am anticipating the Summer 2012 collection a little more since the SA at the Chanel counter I know very well, showed me a preview of that one. There are a couple of lip colors and a Bronze colored nail polish that are a MUST for me.

  • omg the collection is amazing. i got april and june, but i didnt find either streaky at all! love! <3

  • I've heard another beauty guru talking about returning beauty products... I didn't even know you can do that? What stores accept returns? Sephora? What about drugstores? Thanks :)

  • @manaynay Almost all department stores and drugstores accept returns or exchanges, but they usually require a receipt or some other proof of purchase! Check the return policies on your receipts.

  • @RAEview even a product thats had been used yet? I mean once tried? In Germany that would be impossible. they would laugh at you trying to exchange a "used" produtct! it would seem totally rude and stupid.. unfortunatly!!

  • @johmarie7 Yes, I heard that! It's a shame.

  • my birthday is April but my name is June...i think i have to get a couple of these nail polish as well :>

  • Do you recommend Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation for oily combo skin?

  • @dayummbby Yes :)

  • I really loved the May nail colour! :D I really want to get it because that's my birth month !!

  • Goodness, you look like a Pin Up girl! You are beautiful, Rae.

  • lovely as always Rae!

  • i honestly think you look so much prettier without make up on!

  • The pink is the one nail color I didnt buy now I'm thinking I should get it... AND I did not get the blush thinking it was shimmery -I didn't swatch it! Oh well... I'll think about it... Just when I thought I would not buy any more makeup!!

  • You're so nonchalant about your personal things when you were applying concealer. Idk I just thought it was funny xD

  • Glad to be seeing another tutorial from you! Gorgeous neutral look you came up with:)

  • Would you recommend the foundation for dry normal combo skin?

  • @19mdog Lancome Teint Miracle or Armani Luminous Silk!

  • DAT BLUSH. I've seen photos from various places and I'm like *grabby hands* but I know I can't justify spending so much money on a blush I'd be afraid to use because it looks so nice unused.

  • @ssaemblog LOL But it's pretty on, too! And the stripes remain intact even with regular use so it will be worth it ;)

  • get them removed so you won't get cancer ):

  • Hi Rae, I saw your previous video about Lancome Genefique and Visionnaire..what would you say is the difference in them? Is one more preventative than the other?

  • @mzcarolyn Visionnaire is not preventative at all! It's a treatment :) They are two completely different serums. Go for Genifique if you have aging concerns!

  • @RAEview Ohhh gotcha, thank you very much!

  • @mzcarolyn You're very welcome!

  • You are pretty again!!!

  • have you tried smashbox's BB cream? i love bb creams but feel like my asian brand ones make me look TOO white (obv thats the purchase) but i just love bb creams textures &stuff.

  • what flesh colored eyeliner are you using for your lower lid? :)

  • hmm im not in love with the palette at all. the purple is the only thing that attracts me..although it looks similar to other dark purples from other brands

    nonetheless thanks for the tutorial

  • Woo pretty nails!!

  • Rae, are you still using the Benefit Skincare ? I've been thinking about picking up a few of their products, just wondering if you would still recommend them for combo-oily skin ?

  • @princesspeach2486 Yes, I have been using the one with SPF 15 again under make-up!

  • June nail polish<3333 must get! great review Rae! i love watching them even if i can never afford it! haha(:

  • Hi Rae! :)

    1. After watching this I'm most definietely going to purchase the chanel Spring 2012 blush :)

    2. Does the Jeune D'Age eye creme help with dark circles?

    Thanks for you help!! :)

  • @bypkbetty Awesome! And not quite. It has antioxidants which will help the dark circles from getting worse but it won't reduce the darkness!

  • ah ive been debating on that blush for weeks!

  • Rae, I love this look on you! Especially with the liner! I've always had trouble putting on line because my lids are different sizes but do you have any advice to doing so? Thanks again!

  • @ladykaedeXXI So are mine! Put more liner on the larger lid :)

  • The make up is so pretty *v* <3 And you too xoxo

  • Hi Rae, would you recommend the Lancome pressed powder for dry skin? I currently use a Chanel loose powder but have been looking for a pressed powder to carry around during the day.

  • @jpham1990 Try the Chanel pressed! The Lancome powder is best for oily skins :)

  • LOL hiii pretty girl ;D you are so funny - i love how you had to make a correction note about saying floored with bhaha TOO CUTE! it's perfect b/c i'm heading to the city thursday - that april polish is GORGEOUS! We're both April babies :)))))

  • @jessicalee422 LOL It bothered me too much ;) And yes, pick up the polish if you can! <3

  • As a collector of many blushes, do you think the Chanel limited edition blush is worth it? Like do you think it's nice to have and look at or is it actually really good to use?

  • @BeautieCandy It's actually good to use! Most Chanel blushes are very shimmery but this Spring blush is satin so it's nice for variety :)

  • Oh my goodness I love Aprial!:) It looks like a very pretty color:) And I love your videos <3

  • Hey Rae, I have really puffy undereye circles, can you recommend a good concealer or something that cancels out the puffiness?

  • @chanelprincesss Use a cold spoon to reduce the puffiness before applying concealer :)

  • You're very beautiful, and that liner technique looks awesome..gotta try it

  • hey rae! your teeth so pearly white! :) braces?

  • @kwinwin22 Yes :) No whitening, though!

  • I love using my beauty blender with Perfection Lumiere! Love the video Rachel. Where can I purchase the Dior Rose Glow Awakening blush? Will you be doing a video on that collection?

    ~Lina

  • @pearyfooa You can purchase it online at Dior [dot] com or try calling a Dior boutique near you!

  • how do you keep your nails not yellow? everytime i take off my nail polish, my nails are yellow :[

  • @igotnocookieforu Try using a thicker base coat, like Deborah Lippmann's!

  • i picked up the blush from the collection because arguably it's probably the best product from the bunch. i am still keeping my eye on the polishes though...=) hard to resist chanel's seasonal polishes.

  • what is your favorite mascara that can hold a curl?

  • @bubblegum123POP My HG mascara is Lancome's Hypnose Drama WP. It does it all!

  • I would love to know your thoughts on Dior Garden Party :)

  • You are so pretty without and with makeup :) I want to start using a concealer for my under eyes and breaks out but I don't have any makeup if I purchase a concealer do I have to apply foundation? Can you suggest me any products please I have combination sensitive skin thanks

  • @771caro Aww, thank you! And no, if you blend in your concealer well, it will look just fine without foundation :) Try the Laura Mercier for facial blemishes and Bobbi Brown from the eyes!

  • :D I just got that blush yesterday.... I LOVE IT~ <3

  • Yay! Been looking forward to your video on the Chanel spring collection. ^_^ Thanks for a great tutorial (as usual). Looking forward to more! Hopefully you will do a final recommendation about spring collections from various brands as there are so many to choose from! It'll give me some idea of what to expect when they arrive here in Australia - I've no idea when! xo

  • I think this look is absolutely beautfiful! I

think I might have to get that blush! :) thanx rae

  • Hey! Can you please show your tattoo's??? Thanks! I <3 your videos by the way!

  • Hi Rae, what was the eyeliner pencil you used? I heard you say ysl but I went on your blog and it says urban decay, Thanks :)

  • @jennniexo Oh, I forgot to list it! Thank you for reminding me. The brown eyeliner is YSL's waterproof pencil :)

  • Hi Rae, What concealer can you recommend for the under-eyes that don't crease but is heavy duty? (perhaps with a little setting powder but does not require too much)

I've tried bobbi brown corrector as well as amazing concealer and they both really crease on me =/

  • @Kariinarina I've had the best luck with Le Metier de Beaute's Peau Vierge concealer. It doesn't budge after it sets!

  • Hey Rae, do you prefer the beauty blender over a brush when using the perfection lumire foundation? Because I have it, and whenever I use it with my F80 from sigma it eat away the product..

  • @SreyneangRos Yes, I prefer the Beauty Blender over the brush when it comes to Perfection Lumiere :)

  • Love the nailpolishes and blush, pretty colors and great tutorial :)

  • What happened to your parents? are they divorced or passed away? I heard that u were raised by your granny

  • Oh so pretty ^__^..i love it...and i adore that blush and that apricot color nail polish O>O

  • loving the eyebrows :)

  • Wow I love the look Rae! Great for an everyday wear probably =) I know you own a ton of Chanel lipsticks, but you also mentioned before that you lips peel a lot so you're very specific about your lipsticks. I'm getting that now since it's so cold and dry in Canada =S would you recommend the Chanel Rouge Coco Shines for dry/flaky lips?

  • @TropicalMists Rouge Coco lipsticks cause less peeling than the Shines.. for me, anyway. The Shines tend to cause my lips to shrivel once the product dries down!

  • i love this collection so much, the seasonal collections always come out later in canada and i just cant wait for it!

  • Your tutorials are my absolute favorite! You're gorgeous, with & without makeup. :]

  • @GlamInMyVeins Thank you very much! :)

  • Hi Rae!! Love your videos!! Had a few comments/questions. Do you have a suggestion for a good inexpensive/drugstore concealer for blemishes/acne scars? Can you do some videos about your favorites in different categories: eyes, lips, etc.?

  • @pchen88 My favorite drugstore concealer is the Revlon Photoready but it isn't good for blemishes, really. I can't quite say which is, sorry!
