  • OMG, this guy went to the trouble of making an instructional video on how to play guitar a certain way. That's all he did! It's not like he spit on your musical tastes. I thought it was really useful. You haters out there just chill!

  • The thing he needs to ditch it the guitar...HE sux... B T W... If I mentioned all the bands I've played with you would shut the hell up and LEARN. I am not retired and teaching music, not noise.

    all I can say is:

    OWWWWWWWCH

  • Thank you very much. :D

  • Siggi your great , but whats that melody called , the one that starts at 6:18 . Can you make a tutorial for that one ?

  • @benafro123 The melody at 6:18 is from the Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquin Rodrigo.

  • @waldo2384

I know how to play that

  • Wow Siggi u'r great!

  • I don't know if u noticed but u accidentally used a pick. :)

  • 0:00 "Here we go."

    0:09 "Fuck this."

    Seriously though, this is amazing.

I could listen to it all day.

  • This video should be called "BEING my brother Kris" My brother kris is a music snob who thinks he knows how to play a guitar at your level. You got to love the delusional.

  • It is not possible to play flamenco with a pick. Why? The main reason: It is harder. Therefore it makes no sense and there are many techniques that just cannot be played with a pick(tremolos, ayudado, etc).

  • awesome i play electric guitar but that is awesome do u mind reading the scale on tabs or just tell the notes please!!!

  • guitarules website coming soon to help all guotarist learn the secrets of spanish guitar

  • Wat are the chords he used from 8:20 to 8:26?

  • Siggy what's the name of the song you start playing at 06:19? And could you do a lesson for it?

  • damn those crazy fingers came outa nowhere. And it was ALL going so well!

  • woow Wonderful

  • 6:20, Consierto de Aranjuez

  • Thanks Siggi, very, very helpful. -Cheers

  • this is wicked stuff very cool thanks

  • I loved this video. do you have more for spanish style music?

I am trying to learn the spanish style, it is very enjoyable for my right hand for a nice change :)

  • This is fantastic, and a real help. Is it possible to get tablature?

  • theres something about you that reminds me of mr bean

  • I really like your guitar lesson..... easy to learn from, and a good pace too.

most lessons are too slow...I like the pace of your teaching style = more playing less explaining

thanks, I picked up a couple cool tricks that go along perfectly with what I have already figured out.

  • OMG this is creepy for me!

I have been playing very similar stuff to some of this and I thought I made it up LOL..... guess i must have heard it some other place and just randomly figured out some of the techniques.

    strange.....

  • when do we get to learn that sweetass intro/ riffs

  • oh shit all iheard when i opened this page was the sweet shredding haha

  • Sir Siggi! are you still alive? can you please tell me the name of the last piece you played? Thanks really appreciate it!

  • awful lot of noise between notes, and a lot of pick noise on the strum

  • woooow u playin flamenco with an acoustic guitar!!!!

    giggity

  • this is the best with folk guitar:) but the person who has a La Mauvaise Education poster can't be the normal :D

  • I seem to have this problem that I almost always slam my pinky too hard, got problems landing it soft.

Can anyone give me a tip? a part from just "practice"

  • Seriously.

I am thankful for your videos, but why can't you just name the notes you are playing?

For example in that first scale... E, F, G#, A ... and then?

Come one. Shouldn't be too hard to just say the notes you are playing or at least tell us what the pattern is in flamenco style..

    please?

  • @AlligatorJack01

    E - F - G# - A - B - C - D - E

  • Seriously.

I am thankful for your videos, but why can't you just name the notes you are playing?

For example in that first scale... E, F, G#, A ... and then?

  • remember...

    bamboleeeio... XD

  • awesome

  • siggy u freaking blew my mind with this ur so telented

  • Cheers Maestro Siggy. I know this an old video and you've covered a lot of other stuff since this, but I learnt a few cool tricks from this one.

  • Tourist flamenco is exactly right, but it's damn good tourist music. Not really even close to true flamenco but helpful nonetheless.

  • siggi you´r not only a good guitarplayer but i can imagine you as a film actor too.... you have many talents and your best talent in my opinion is that you make people love and appreciate you.... siggi, du bist wunderbar, Gruß and den Schließer, danke daß es dich gibt.

  • SRY BUT THIS IS FUCING BRILIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • @kyssy00 Concierto de Aranjuez

  • tabs for the last played song please....

  • SIGGI U ROCK MAN !!!!!!!!!!!

  • playing flamenco with a folk guitar and a pick ... not very convenient

  • @leejackson13666 the guitar doesnt matter at all

  • @leejackson13666 the guitar doesnt matter at all and he says that his spanish guitar is broken when the video was taken

  • @leejackson13666 sounds awesome though doesnt it

  • @leejackson13666 does the job though

  • shouldnt have used steel string..takes away part of the flamenco feel

  • the scale he is playing is A harmonic minor, any minor key with a sharp seventh will make harmonic minor scale, it has a very nice flamenco/middle eastern sound to it

  • i have to download this Very intresting <33333 :')

  • Classical Maestros dont use picks!!! JK. :) Amazing thanks so much.

  • Zehr gut, Maestro *_*

  • Why is everyone going mental for this video? If you want real lessons just learn music theory. there is noting complicated in this video, its just the harmonic minor scale. The chord progressions and riffs are probably the most overused and common ones you will ever find in the harmonic minor. Learn scales people if you want to get better, then learn modes. If you have any questions just ask.

  • thanks siggi

    LG thepouks

  • at 6:17 how is the name of that song written?? and whats the name of 9:26 please?? thanks, loved the video

  • you are awesome =D

  • it got boring after 10:04

  • @therionluffy LOL

  • i agree ! :D

  • beautiful music style.im so excited tto kearn this..nice video!!

  • I thought he explained the foundations of spainish guitar nicely. If you have any talent on the guitar, you can take what you learned from this video, and turn it into your own stlye. It can even sound as impressive as the first 30 seconds of the video, youjust need to practice the excercise he showed you, and maybe buy a book on scale to eexpand your spanish guitar even more... Or pay the dude to TEACH you everything. Thank you Siggi for the very informative video.

  • what you play at the end ?

  • We're not people that want to pretend that we can play guitar!

We are real guitarists who want to impress all the chicks!

Now teach us that stuff that you played at the beginning of the video!!!!!

    :P

  • tolles video.vielen Dank fuers Hochladen!!

  • lol....he said gui-char :)

  • hiya,, great lesson,, loads of good stuff,, plenty for me to be getting on with,,, cheers,, all the best,,, :)

  • wait... what did you say after "index" @3:22 ....

  • every flamenco-player would fall apart seeing you play flamenco with a pick...that is just so non-flamenco..all you got is some stupid chords that sound a little spanish...man, please stop doing lessons here...learn playing yourself first..

  • @jimmyriesling

Wow you are an asshole. Did you notice Spanish Flamenco was in quotations? It's clearly an in the style of lesson. Flamenco is a style of music, and doesn't necessitate a particular finger picking technique to play. You guys shouldn't get so hung up on the semantics of guitar playing, and certainly speak with a little respect to people who post videos for free viewing. I don't see you giving your time and posting videos to help so shut the hell up.

  • @RythymNblues yeah, ole!...and thanks for the asshole...and respect and stuff...

  • this not flamenco at all

  • what wa the name of that scale?

  • hey what was the name of that scale?

  • Thank you Siggi. A great demo.

  • No explanation of what to do with the right hand at 2:47

  • What a fuck? Playing flamenco with a pick???

  • goood!

  • when you do the 'bambolero ' thing what chords do you play? Thanks

  • Hello siggi5153. I wanted to let you know that when i came across your videos, they were very inspiring to me. I have practiced some of the techniques that you've shown, and it has made me a better player. Thank you for sharing, and nice work. You are a true artist.

  • dud can you pliz send make a tab on that you prac a lot.....there when you have E--1--4-- open on the A str and so .....more?pliz and the resten of you video:Ppliz im am burning for Spanish Flamenco..^^

  • how did u tune this dude? because i like to play stuff on my steal string like this. good job dude.

  • @MattieBoii9211 It's regular tuning

  • @MichiVarela thanks :)

  • Thanks for sharing it with us, wondering if you can provide tab for each melody you play, great job and keep them coming...

  • Steelstring. Fail.

  • what are those scales called?

  • heh i've been improvising with those few chords for a looong time xD all the things you've been showing here are things i figured out by myself after attempting to make a flamenco sound for weeks

i haven't played my guitar in a while tho .. i might wipe the dust of it and make a video reply to this tomorow

it does indeed usually sound better on a nylon string guitar

  • also ich persönlich würde da gerne mehr drüber lernen (:

  • This is really far away from Flamenco, It sounds Spanish but not Flamenco...

You can't pretend to play this style of music with an acoustic guitar and a pick.

  • excellent!! good job siggi!

  • very good !

  • nice job as usual

  • wie kann man sowas nur lernen.....verdammt...ich muss mehr üben :-)

  • Try watching this Paco de Lucia's awesome concert: /watch?v=LxpRVbhWlLI

  • My comment about plaiyng flamenco with an electric guitar was a sarcasm. Flamenco is played with spanish guitar, and of course, with all the fingers of the right hand, not with a pick. This guy enjoys playng "flamenco for tourists", and if he likes, it's right for him, but this is not flamenco. Who really can be interested watching flamenco, should see something like this: /watch?v=kmEq28jMcFc

  • how he plays on 3;45??

  • wooooooow im love solo

  • hello, how you do that on 1:23 because i tryd it and i still here the sound of my guitar?

  • Flamenco with an acoustic guitar? Try with an electric guitar... And what kind of Flamenco is supposed you are playing?

  • My friend, you must have flamenco confused with some other guitar style. Flamenco is played and should be played ONLY with acoustic guitar. Believe me, I've heard people ATTEMPTING to play flamenco on an electric. It made my ears bleed. You're just an electric guitar fan boy. Acoustic is the only way to go for flamenco. You ask as if it was rare for flamenco to be played on acoustic, which is what it has ALWAYS been played on since the 1800's.

  • @JesNemitz Hi again, you can search youtube for "Tomatito" or "Paco de Lucía", true Spanish guitarists. As you will see, Spanish guitar is very different than the acoustic guitar. The main difference, (apart the box and the neck construction) is that the 4th, 5th and 6th strings are not metallic, and sounds very different. Acoustic guitar is perfect for Paul Simon, and american folk, but not for spanish flamenco.

    Greetings again ;)

  • lol

  • Siggi, that was fantastic! I'll try and learn. Seems difficult but i'll try anyways - I got snow up to my ears in Michigan Usa and are pretty much homebound - fantastic lesson!

  • you're just the bomb siggi

  • Groovy . Enjoyed your video. Thanks for posting.

  • "and immediately you got the feeling like being in spain" lol its true that sound make me think i can feel that spanish sun shining down on my back while i wander thru some dry dusty village road in the spanish countryside

  • 6:18 WOOOOOW.... which song?

  • i'm sorry but this is not flamenco

  • @ 1:30 he *says* this is not real flamenco. but it sounds cool to me and i think it has a nice spanish/flamenco flavor to it. if you werent a gypsy born in Andalusia, you will never really be a "flamenco" anyways

  • ah yes , sorry i didn't see that.

  • GREAT!

  • Omg idiots!!! this is teaching, if u cant hear, what to play from what he is telling and playing, then this spanish flamenco is too hard for you.... Then learn some child songs...

  • @lollerte Some of just can't learn by ear. It's very ignorant of you to think we lack intelligence just because we don't have that "perfect" ear. Douche.

  • @JeffWithAnF "perfect" ear omg.... He is telling which chords to play, and giving u the rythem..? Thats a lack of intelligence if u dont understand whats hes telling u..

  • @lollerte And this is coming from someone who can't spell "Rhythm" correctly... What I'm saying is that some people can't learn with out having TABs or a music sheet in front of them.

  • wow thats nice thanks for the lesson, perfect for the first steps in spanish guitar :)

  • spanish guitarist are the best

  • Someone has tabs please ?

  • thi is the best video than siggi

  • 0:1 - 0:23 wow

  • in the first 30 seconds all i could think was...holy shit

  • tabs please?

  • ill as all hell im a git it right now

  • What was that song's name on 6:10

  • jiejiejiiejejijieejieij FLAMENCO????valle tela el yanky este ajjajajajajajaaj..........
