@brainslushi I was thinking about this the other day... this kind of "emotional abuse" was once plain ole' Asian parenting once upon a time. This issue is just one way that the cultural barrier between Eastern and Modern Western values shows itself.
A lot more self-destructive behaviour could be prevented by more people recognising this VERY damaging form of abuse - just because it's not physical or even blatant name-calling does NOT mean it isn't abuse, and I'm so glad that more schools (at least where I am) recognise this and take necessary actions to educate us about it. Thanks very much for the upload :)
