  • @MrYakidy You're welcome. Sorry about the crappy video, I didn't have a camera on my at that moment only a no focus 1.3mp camera phone... =(

  • This is the worst video I've ever seen!

  • @Mrpapermon i'm sorry, at that moment all I had was a camera phone, not to mention it's 1.3 megapixels. LOL

  • @sdutango Don't be so mean. You suck.

  • @tr3vk4m So... I don't get what I did that I'm mean, and why do I suck. Sorry. I don't suck.

  • @sdutango That comment was meant for Mrpapermon. You don't suck.

  • Thanks!

  • erm...

  • hey I could spend the Acer Aspire One link inadvertently delete the program if I aces that I sign I sign fabor im suscribed

  • my max resolution is 1280x800 , but i want it to be higher, do you know how?

  • i need my computer to pan that way but it wont give me the option to , i have windows 7 ultimate

  • I'm sure this question has already been answered, but: if I connect my A1 to a larger LCD monitor, will this trick display entirely without panning? Thanks!

  • @Jaimelapoesie i didn't think about it, we can try, just like what I did on XP before before I found out the solution for XP. will try it and let you guys know.

  • @sdutango another video on YouTube shows somebody using a 20+" monitor w/ an A1 w/ no problem. It looks like it automatically detects the larger screen and displays in higher resolution. Search "A1 with lcd monitor" and it should be one of the first videos.

  • The option greyed in windows 7, its uncheck but cant active or deactive because the option is greyed T_T..

  • @TheRino2009z yes, still no solution so far.

  • been trying to find a way to have a pc running, say, 3840x2560, and then the GPU scales it down to 1080p for the monitor, for the sake of high-res screenshots. anyone know of a way without panning?

  • @ownz690 i think u found a wrong place to as this, this is for the Acer One. not even mention that kind of numbers will never show up on the One. good luck

  • @sdutango i wasn't really looking for anything acer one.

That's double the resolution of 1920x1080, what i'm running, and I was trying to find a way for it to double the resolution PC-side and output 1080p, so when I screenshot, it screenshots at 2560p for the benefit of greater detail, but yeah, this was a gimmicky thing anyway heh

  • hello, i really need some help. i like to play a game (wonderking) and i want to start playing it on my acer aspire one. as i followed your video i saw that my box was not only already unchecked, but it wouldn't let me check it at all. Is their anyway i could get my screen resolution higher so i could play this game? i would love it if you could look into that for me. thanks a lot.

  • @sonicrunner311 I assume you are using Windows 7? if you are, this is only for XP, and I want to know about how to do it in Windows 7 as well.

  • is there a way i can do this on my acer aoa150 windows vista home premium 32bit??

  • Hey, can I use high resolution without panning?

  • @ihsanfauzi no because the native resolution is max on 1024x600

  • hey, can you help me?

My default resolution is 1204x768... and I want to use this resolution (1152x864)

and when I'm done selecting the resolution, and it happen the same one in that video.

Can I run that resolution without that problem?

I mean, when I select that resolution (1152x864), it is full screen.

    Hope you understand this..

Sorry if my English is bad...

  • Not helpful, useless on windows 7 :S

  • @calaiocalaio welcome

  • cry cry cry it doesnt work for windows 7

  • @dhoomknight still trying to find out how...

  • @sdutango the user has already ended its support for a1ctl, so only XP users can have the screen resolution benefit.

  • ^^ tytytytytytytyty been looking everywere on how to do this man its always the simplest thing that gets ya woot now i can work on stuff that i wasnt able to do befor

  • @clouds666 Good good good. Have fun. Be sure to download the utility tool that i posted in the description, just don't mess with the fan speed and cpu something like that cuz it made the fan sound weird, just use the resolution function is ok.

Hightlight the text below and drag that to the tap or address bar to download the tool.

    hardware.

  • Doesn't work on Windows 7

  • @NeonGreenRhawrrs yea. it's not working in Windows 7

  • thanks alot! ow i can run rpg maker vx! i owe you one.

  • @rsglitcher2010 ok, u owe me one, how are u gonna pay me? lol. J/K good for u

  • thank you dude... you helped me alot..

    God bless you

  • good to hear that.

  • if its grayed out you have to click advanced(or double click on display1) and select the adapter tab and click list all modes. u will be able to change to any res ur card can display at even beyond the display range of ur screen so be careful how high u go

  • oh thx. will give it a try.

  • can run it to 2048x1000something...

but i dont want to try it out....

  • i can't get this trick work on Windows 7

  • Its possible on win 7 but you need to downgrade the graphics driver.

  • How to downgrade the driver? download the older version? which version should I use?

    Thanks

  • I downloaded the XP version from intel website.

  • when i choose Display properties(Properties option won't come up), It becomes an indel desk for mobile program thingy. but I've got windows 7, so...

  • i'm trying to figure that out too in Windows 7. it just grayed out.

  • Thanks!!!

  • It worked for you? good for you!

  • thank you

  • no problem

    :)

  • Damn. The option to display modes is completely greyed out in Windows 7...Help?

  • is that really? i haven't have the chance to try windows 7 on this yet, i just tried it on Virtual PC and it was working fine

  • ive got the exactly same problem, did you find any solution?

  • I've tried a couple of programs like PowerStrip (forgot the name of the other one), but I couldn't get it to work. :/

  • @entendadomitris ino i cant do anything :(

  • @entendadomitris go to regedit, find the string display1_downscalingsupported, double click it, change the hexadecimal value from 0 to 1, click OK, close regedit, then restart your computer, and 1024x768 should be available in the screen resolution menu.

  • you only have 1024x600 pixels so you are just zooming in.

  • actually i was trying to downscale it, not zooming it.

    i use a1ctl when i have to

  • Those who HATE Windows XP I like to see what your small brain can develop.

  • as to you

  • Thank You

  • fix what?

  • i use linux windows yuck...

  • i hate linux so much my hate became visible.. fuck that ubuntu shit..

  • Panning is stupid.

  • Amen!

  • Well, there's no choice if the LCD only support that low resolution. Unless you can make a high resolution to downscale and fit the screen, that would be awesome.

  • Thanks bro, this helped me out

  • good. i knew someone would need this.

    thanks for watching.

now. another thing i'm trying to do is, even i can run a higher resolution, but it's sometime so annoying to move the mouse to the edge to move the screen, sometime i even get lost. i wonder if there's a way to make a preview panel on the bottom corner would help a lot, or for the higher resolution to the screen even it look blurry, just like XP remote assistance, you get to choose actual size or fit the screen. i'll let u guys know. :)

  • oh, i thought you had found a way to downscale a larger resolution than supported. now that would be really useful

  • oh ok and you speek english good

  • ok bt it dosent support those modes?

  • i don't get what you mean. by unchecking "Hide modes that this monitor don't support" means your screen won't stick on every pixel, it's like a virtual big screen, if you play games like Age of Empire or starcraft, you know how the screen moves when the cursor hits the edge of the screen, because the monitor can't display the resolution which exceed the LCD could support. hope you understand what I'm saying due to my bad English grammar. :(

  • do not do this it can damage you hard were trust me please if you going to do this out put you cpu to a bigger monter

  • It can only damage a CRT a TFT will simply scroll

  • is it really damaging the CRT? why this can't do on a CRT?

  • No, a laptop has a TFT (A CRT is the old monitor type with a tube in it.)

  • yea. i know. so it will only damage the CRTs?

  • Correct.

  • Mitsubishi Lancer Evo and nice netebook ^^

  • thx. i made myself a animation wallpaper. but kinda laggy on this netbook in full screen animated wallpaper.

  • Dude nice wallpaper. Do you have it available to download?

  • eh... if u want it. i could send u in email, but it's really not that good. just 2 minutes design... it's a 1024x600 resolution, so if u using acer one, it should perfectly fit the screen, but kinda laggy.

  • in task tray goto intel graphics properties, goto the page that has resolution and rotating, click the aspect ratio button and try different modes.

    FullScreen should fix this.

  • Your description in way too complicated and the title is misleading, too. But I think now I get it.

What happens if you don't "hide modes this monitor can't display" and choose a higher one?

  • Yo, you're the man!!!!

  • BTW, what title should I put in it, please correct me, so this video can help other people... thaks

  • Oh, that's great! I'm happy that I could help you. Thanks. :)

Well, the "How to:" sounded to me like it was a tutorial on how to do something. It didn't sound like a question. That's why it was misleading for me. Also adding a qustion mark at the end of a question would help. ;)

  • yea, just corrected it and might as well help many people in the future

  • why are you talking about? this is 120GB version a newer model than the one that cae with linux. this comes with XP originally. and lucky i didn't buy the old version because i don't like linux.

  • Didn't like Linux? How's it possible? Surely you love worms, viruses, spyware, trojan horses, and other malware in general. Good luck, buddy!

  • I didn't like it is because I've never use one and I don't know how to use it. Maybe you smart. Also I don't like the way it works.

  • Maybe he actually wanted to do something other than going online and use open office. Its called 3d support, and if you have the proper antivirus software, you wont get viruses. But thats right? Your just a basic user who thinks he knows it all. Shame, I bet you dont even know what 3rd party software is.

  • no aspire has windows xp on it some guy got vista t work

  • im not sure, because you worded it a bit hard to read.. but it sounds like you are saying that acer aspire ones dont come with windows xp..well i just got one for christmas and i can tell you that it does have windows xp..

  • hell no i have one with xp sevice pack 3

  • there is an utiliy that allows you to have 1024x768 for acer one
