Love your glassine bag idea, however, you should point out that you used an inkjet and not a laser. You should never run anything like glassine through a laser printer. Great idea.
have a question regarding the glassine bag. Are you putting the image in the printer the putting the envelope on plain white paper to run thru the printer? I just love the envelopes and banners. Great work.
@altamoab I taped the envelope over the image I first printed out so I when I run it back through the printer I can have the image just where I want it.
Absolutely gorgeous banners and family! I am totally in awe over the way you printed and embossed on the bags. I have a stack of glassine bags and am definitely going to give it a try. Thank you so much for sharing. You do beautiful work. Hugs, Robyn =)
What a great idea..your projects look wonderful..the bags, transparency and the banners. Just bought some glassine bags so I'm going to give this a try! TFS and Have a Great Week..RuthAnn
I have a question about printing on the bags, i also watched a video where you printed some images in cotton twill ribbon, im concerned about putting anything through my printer that has more thickness than paper, does it matter what kind of printer you have and how do you know what kind you have.....i have a new canon printer/scanner/copier...
@ferncreations - I have been printing on all sorts of different things for some time and I just have a HP Photosmart printer. It doesn't seem to have any problem. I think the key is to have the bag or whatever a little ways down on the page so it doesn't catch both layers at one time. Once it is going through it works well. I usually tape it pretty good but that is why I put the image more in the middle of the page.
These are just so very beautiful Janet! The bags, the photo on the transparency and the beautiful banners. Did you free hand the shapes for your banners or did you use a die to cut them? Thanks so much for sharing your creativity! Lori :-)
What beautiful banners! I would live to see that up close to admire it! Thank you for showing it to me. I'm terribly envious of the recipients if them!!!
i have a question....why do you make a copy on the paper first and then run the glassine bag through? is it to make sure that the bag is centered right? i love this idea, btw! so cool~~kathy

@papercraftingirl Lori - I just freehand cut them - quicker that way. But, you sure could use a die cutting machine.
