  • I cannot agree with u guys, thers no such a thing as bad university everything depend on student and his will to improve and study.Even the worst uni in the world can make the best engineer,so stop fooling around with ur bullshit.

  • 93% employed withing 6 months of graduation.

    Enough said.

  • This University sucks. One of the worst Uni in the world.

  • The worst place, their graphic design department is an utter joke

  • The place is a dump and the teaching is pish. SCAM!

  • @DeltaNC totally agree with you. Most retarded place in Edinburgh. p.s.

  • @DeltaNC totally agree with you. Most retarded place in Edinburgh.

  • How much weed can you get here? This is one of the big factors in my choice. I have 4 A's and a B and I have an unconditional to here.

  • @themilkmister Lol. I suppose you're trolling but why did you apply to Napier when you have such good grades?

  • @themilkmister quite a lot

  • its cool

  • I have to disagree with the statements I see below. I went there for four years and had an amazing experience. The staff were brillant when you needed them. But maybe that's just based on the course you take!! I felt like I was treated like an adult solutions were offered by lecturers but all in all you are made to earn what you got and that's the way it should be it's not supposed to be like secondary school.

  • I'm amazed that anyone stated they could get good tuition at this place. I found that trying to get hold of a lecturer was like pulling teeth. They do nothing and have all the PHD students doing their work for them. What a crock of shit

  • I completely agree with deltanc. having finished my 4 yrs im am so glad to be finished. Actual tuition/lecture time is often less than 5 hours per week in final 2 years. There is was no personal/informal relationship with my lecturers- they are over-loaded with students and research- they dont have time for students. Doing a degree at Napier is like Open-university; only with less support and crap teaching. Would I go there again? NO!!!

  • I agree with Delta...it's just riding on the coat-tails of Edinburgh University. Why else change the name... ... ...

  • I've seen now a lot opinions or ideas about how this university is. But since I'm interested in one master course called international festival and event management, which I found very little infomation about how it is.

I'm wondering if you guys have any opnions regarding this master course?

  • @ReflectedImpedance Well it is all about image, I'm sorry to say my experience at Napier mirrors others here. They couldn't give a toss about students, they just want the funding numbers bring.

  • Blatant propaganda. Napier is a dump, the course material is practically non existent, the lecturers couldn't care less, and they cant wait to get you out the door the second your SAAS funding ends.

  • Im in year 12 at the moment, and will start going to open days and applying and stuff after the summer. Napier is my first choice already! I reaaaaally want to go! Is anyone doing/ has done any of the exercise and sport science courses? Thanks, hope I make it there! :)

  • i am from libya i studied in napier, i really loved it

  • How about foreign students? This is currently one of my top two choices. I'm a little worried about moving to another country though. Would you recommend Edinburgh?

  • Where are you from? I'm from Edinburgh myself but I live in the middle of England. I want up there for the open day and found it really quite welcoming. There's three campus' spread over Edinburgh and which one you go to is dependent on what you are doing. There's no need to worry however: the city is small and the best reliable way to go from place to place is by using a bus pass. I've always loved Edinburgh, and no not just because it's by place of birth. It's decent.

  • Oh, and just so you understand the red triangle logo for the university is supposed to represent the three main campus' locations. :)

  • it's actually a postgrad program i'm applying too. so its only 9 months. but it's still my first choice. just waiting on a response.

  • ok thats cool. I'm from Ohio. I was deciding between napier and arts london. I'd rather go to napier, but arts london has a longer program which is also nice.

  • I imagine it's round about the same. 3/4 years, more likely 4, but it's honestly really nice there. It's probably better for transport in Edinburgh than in London also.

  • I loved my time at Napier, and I found the lecturers to be very helpful. I was over 50 when I completed my degree, so hadn't been in education for a long time. I achieved a 1st Class Honours, won the class medal, and I won the 1st prize as the best student across ALL of the engineering courses. Napier must have been doing something right !. I fully intend gong back there in the future to do a Masters.

  • Being from Edinburgh, and having been a Napier student, I'm in the position to confirm that what you say in your video is true. Napier lecturers try to maintain an open-door policy, allowing students to approach lecturers at any time. This is definitely not something that happens at all universities. I am sad though that Napier chose to prefix their name with "Edinburgh". I see it as a cheap attempt to fool many people into thinking that it is associated with Edinburgh University.

  • One of the worst Universities in Europe. Highest drop out rate, lowest score in Lecturer to student relationship. Napier is trying to make itself look great but thats not the case. I know seven people who dropped out because they couldn't get the help they needed. My lecturer said to me on my first day that he doesn't expect me to see him in the two years I was there. Explain that shit to me. My brother hated napier aswell.

  • Napier's problem is that it lets anybody in the door. They do that because they need the numbers, and the money that they bring in. Consequently, they are trying to "bake a cake" using crap "ingredients". I was told on the quiet by a lecturer that they expected a drop off of around 45% after the first year, and that turned out to be the case. Many of my fellow students were lazy and thick, and didn't want to be at university. They viewed it as being just more years at school.
