It is now changing because my fellow filipino countrymen are now realizing the effectiveness of FMA,and they are studying arnis and other forms of FMA,but the sad part is that most of the Grand masters are now in the states and other countries which is good to spread the martial arts, but the effect here in the Philippines is that we are becoming almost ignorant of our own martial arts,it is not too late for a filipino like myself.
I'm glad to see more and more foreigners practice Kali. But I'm also sad that most filipinos don't know Kali. Karate, Taekwondo, Aikido is more popular in the Philippines. I hope this will change since Kali/Arnis is now declared the National martial art sport of the Philippines. More power to you guys. Mabuhay!
hey guys, get your spelling right! it's PANUNTUKAN, the root word of which is SUNTOK (punch).
people insisting on misspelling it as 'panantukan' should know that it doesn't mean anything in the philippines except sound like a mangled version of the word 'ANTOK' which means SLEEPY! = )
you mean gunting right? with "n"
