  • why would you say such a thing if he comes to you what you gone do huh nothing at all hes is not a bad person at all so you have no right to call someone that if you do call yourself that.

  • @whatyougotonmyforty why would you say such a thing if he comes to you what you gone do huh nothing at all hes is not a bad person at all so the only son of a bitch you should be calling is you

  • Whenever he does the teeth clicking thing it sounds like he's eating an apple.

  • @whatyougotonmyforty you are so ignorant. Its OCD so his mind thinks about the most risky things to say in any situation involuntarily. Be tolerant!

  • he is so empowering, I would love to have him as a friend, someone who could give me guidance. he has a way, I applaud him for having such a fantastic outlook

  • Came to my school and hes amazing!

  • @whatyougotonmyforty please educate yourself on what tourette's is before you made such rude comments. And take the caps lock off while you're at it. Typing in all caps does not make you seem smarter.

  • marc elliot is amazing!

he spoke to my school & i loved it!

it was really touching i went home and researched tourette's and him the whole night.

  • this guy used to be my camp counselor how crazy is that

  • i am honoured to have it! xD

  • He came to my school today and he was fricken halariouse!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • so do you mean a good or bad

  • This is for Shakeitupyes (and anyone else), I think you're wrong. I think he thinks of a word that is so offensive and knows it would hurt someone (even though he doesn't mean it) and then it bothers him to hold it in. It's like containing a beast in his throat. I really don't think you're right when you say that he chooses the word.

  • we choose the words by our judging thoughts, our first impressions, the way we decide to think. If he decided to think more positive he would have an 'itch' to say something nice, not something rude. The disorder does not make you say rude things, it simply causes a compulsive desire to blurt things out - it is the way you decide to think and feel which chooses those words. As an experiment they should try blurting out risky positive things, a thought can be changed, you decide what is 'risky'

  • The words them self hold no power, it is how we choose to think of a word which gives it power or negates it. Some are offended by swear words, others use them daily as slang with no problem giving or taking them. I am saying he can change how he views words, he can decide to think differently and in doing so he will choose his words to be blurt out

  • one problem with this though. He says not to judge, not to assume.. but his tics are based off assumption and judging when he says faggot, or nigger etc. So... He's kind of being a hypocrite

  • @Shakeitupyes

no he said it to his brother he wasn't assuming, and I assume he says nigger to black people.

besides he can't help it and you can

  • He can help it by changing the way he thinks. The tic is there, but the words he thinks of to say are a choice, a path that shows the way his mind works, the way his mind judges others inside and he is cursed in a way because he is forced by his tic to reveal his thoughts. To be truly tolerant and unbias in the mind would stop his outbursts. Why is it just rude things he says, why not nice things like "beautiful" "sexy" etc. There are extremes on the positive side too. He chooses negative

  • Are you serious? This man has a disease which causes him to be judged every single day of his life and you're honestly accusing him of being the one to judge others? Have you seen him speak before? He has OCD which causes him to think of the worst possible thing to say in a situation and his Tourette's syndrome forces him to say it. How can a disease be a choice? His brother is gay and he is unbelievably accepting of it but his disease forces him to call him out on it. He can't change anything.

  • no....that's not it at all. his mind finds the things he DOESN'T want to say (the things that are most risky to say) and says it.

  • Very inspiring!!

    Thanks Marc.
