Firepoule, I have a similar car but it is a cab, 2010. I have a JB4 map 2 and BMS filter. All else is stock. I run on 94 octane, my question is. Is it ok for the engine to have the fuel in your tank that low? I don't know how much filling it up to a quarter might effect meth mix etc. But overall for the engine is it ok to go that low on fuel and then exert it to such high speeds?

ok...the only way to make a car go faster is either by making the engine rev faster, or change the gear ratios. in this video you can clearly see that the engine never even gets to red line in the highest gear, yet the car is going about 30km/hr faster than it would stock...therefore it's clear that the gearing has been modified. which is fine...i was just saying.

@lnromandude I had buy my car brand new...and never change the gearing...stock the car do 240km/h (speed limiter) when speed limiter remove = 273 km/h (around 6000 rpm in 6th gear) on stock boost, 8psi. And now with bolt on and tune 16-17 psi = 300km/h at 6950 rpm (red line is 7000).

@blacksoilder10 auto is more fast for top speed, 4km/h more...and for drag... a bit more fast...depend driver of manual. Generally 0,1 sec better on 1/4 miles with auto

@Firepoule I don't know what auto you could possibly have that was limited to 304kmh @ 6950 rpm,maybe you had 3.73 gears on 17'' tires to do this.

This is nothing new, many people on n54tech and e90post concur with 218mph/350kmh top speed for 335i/335xi auto assuming 3.46 final drive and standard auto trans with 0.69 6th gear ratio. There is one 335i auto that has done 305kmh on video at lower than redline, I will look for it.

@Firepoule Why your friend only got 304khm @ 6950 RPM is anyone's guess, but it's a simple fact of measurements of 3 things (gear ratio, final drive ratio and wheel size), one of those things was not the same as all the factory spec cars that have done runs in 5th and 6th to verify speeds higher than 305kmh.

awesome acceleration... standard engine? I think as the car it's chiptuned... to about 450 hp... A normal Mercedes E55 AMG makes the 0-100 km/h in 4,5 seconds and has V8 Engine with 5.5 Liter & 476 hp. And this car makes the 0-100 km/h in 4,2 seconds and this car have V6 Engine with 3,5 Liter and 306 hp... I do not understand!

I changed the fluids in the diff etc. with m3 oils for better cooling... @Bmw545m Go with AWD...power is nothing without traction. My 2 cents. You lost maybe 10-15 hp with awd...but 0-60 mph is much much better with awd.
