"May the evergreen tree forever grow, decorated by God with diamonds of snow; where colourful birds awake from the night and sing praises to God for the morning light. On December 25 many trees will survive. Creation thanks God it's still alive. May the evergreen tree forever grow."
With love from Canada, the land of snow where evergreens grow ... Evy.
Origen was a heretic who rejected that Christ was bodily resurrected and denied the virgin birth and even the diety of Christ. He was no theologian he was a heretic!
Why do christians believe todays christianity is the true religion, when you can clearly see by this video paganism is rife in this so called religion?
those who celebrate Christmas do not honor God or Christ, but honor pagan celebrations and pagan gods. And by fostering such myths as Santa Claus, they promote falsehoods. That does not honor Jesus, who taught that God must be worshiped with truth. (John 4:23, 24) Said Jesus: If you remain in my word, you are really my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.—John 8:31, 32.
"Therefore, do not let anyone judge you by what you eat and drink, or with regards to a RELIGIOUS FESTIVAL..." (read on!)
Yes, we should observe biblical holidays, but if we observe Christmas, I don't think we offend God, lest we engage in materialism and shy away from Christ. If we truly treat christmas as a celebration of Christ's birth then we are honouring God.
It's acceptable, under the 'new covenant', for a christian to observe Sunday as the sabbath!
The observance of Christmas is not of divine appointment, nor is it of N[ew] T[estament] origin. If Christmas were important for Christians, would not Jesus or his disciples have mentioned it?
Jesus instructed people to observe his death - to keep doing this in rememberance of him . those who celebrate Christmas do not honor God or Christ, but honor pagan celebrations and pagan gods.
@MacTacMaui Jesus could not have died unless he was born. The Bible never tells us to meet in buildings with steeples and pews either, but we do it anyway.
Jer 10:1 Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:Jer 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.Jer 10:3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the ax.Jer 10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not
The passage you refer to is talking about the Holy Days given by God in Lev 23 not pagan festivals. What would Paul look like promoting paganism? He was telling God's people not to let anyone judge them for keeping the Holy Days God commanded. Read the context. By the way, the Sabbath was never changed by God. The catholic church, acting on it's own authority, change the Sabbath to Sunday as a means of converting pagans. Look it up!
@GorgeousVin I would like to know, other than the passage you quoted, where does it say in the Bible that the Sabbath was changed from the 7th day of the week to the 1st day?
I enjoy hearing the truth. I haven't celebrated this worthless "holiday" in over 7 years. I encourage all true believers to follow Truth as opposed to tradition.
If only everyone put their own interests aside and prioritized God's interests, the world would be a happier place.
"But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be...lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God" 2 Timothy 3:1-5
Christmas was celebrated long before Christianity, just like Easter. The bible was plagerized from pagans, there was no seperation curch/state, pagans had no choice but to join.
Refreshing to hear someone not say "keep x in Xmas" and say the truth. (6 stars) Happy Holidays
That's not accurate. Customs and pagan celebrations were brought into the church( a word that doesn't exist in scripture) but scripture is not a result of plagiarism. What Constantine did is called syncretism. His God was Mythras-sol invictus. That is why Christian art has a halo or sun included in all depictions. We are pathetic.
thanks for posting this

Let's take gods, angels, sons of gods, unicorns and other ficticious stuff out of our lives, including Christmas. Let's celebrate reality, not myths.

Having said that, I don't think I want to have any presents this year now!
Really good video though, lots to think about!

But doesn't the Bible say: (Col 2:16)

Prove what your saying through scripture. If it is not in the Bible don't do it.
