i'm going next week but i am worried about shoes. what do you wear in a desert where there is so much walking? so please some sensible shoes advice please. i hear people without proper shoes their feet fall off and they have to stump about.

get boots, or if you are going to wear sandals put vinegar on your feet before you walk around the desert. that sand has chemicals in it that will mess up your feet, but vinegar helps to eat up the chemicals

You should get some boots if your feet are sensitive. It's an alkaline-salt silt which is very fine. I went for the first time last year and walked around barefoot most of the time(especially at night) but I also got a vinegar foot bath, followed by some cocoa butter the next day.. mmmm cocoa butter. Any way, some shit came up and I can't make the burn this year :( But you have a great burn my friend! Enjoy it, you'll never, ever forget it. Peace and love.
