  • Many arguments about whether Bushy is a great drummer compared to Baker or Bruford (the 3 B's of drums?). I'll say one thing, he works hard and puts himself into it.

He reminds me of Ginger like that.

  • la gente comenzó a escuchar las baterías a partir de este solo, una pieza de ejercicios y exámen de academia

  • a......wow??

  • @spiffskovgaard are you a fucktard? If you use a comparison, at least know how to spell his fucking name!!!!!!

  • Clearwater Beach - IB, Naz, Deep p,...

  • so phd - Calgary Alberta - Clearwater Beach

  • Sorry , YES didnt volunteer to get all us acidheads clean. Bushy did idiot

  • Ron started it all friends!

  • One other thing people - You wouldnt see ELP or Baker at Clearwater Beach

  • Just a general comment. If you post on the board I refer to, its your problem from there (you dont know me effect).

  • Ok, lets start here. In the YouTube search bar type this: playboy after dark iron butterfly

Then I will guide you thru the history idiot.

  • Let me find an older version of this for you people on You Tube

  • ACID!!! I HEAR ACID!!!!!

  • You betcha! Rock on! Love Peace and Chicken Grease!

  • There's quite a buzz in the audio, there.

  • Hmmm...where's the rest of the band?...and the solo wasn't even 3 minutes on the album!...great drummer, tho.

  • Ron was a good mate but would never be mistaken for a drummer of the calibre of say Ginger Baker and Cream. He was a Lady's man in his own way, though seldom kept his Ladies. San Diego chap.

  • maybe maybe not :Ginger Baker's Airforce - Toady"

    IRON BUTTERFLY-"butterfly bleu" (1 of 3)

  • I am confused. You rank Bushy in the same league as Ginger Baker? Whoa. That's a character leap, if not a leap of faith. Ron had more modesty about his drumming skills. I believe he segued into photography, didn't he? I remember him shooting one of the album covers.

  • You underrate Bushy. Whos league is Palmer in? Fact is, Iron Butterfly and Bushy were making records before Palmer and at the same time as Baker. Bye the way , which drummer would you liked to have seen performing "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" ?

  • I am delighted to read this revsionism. Possibly you are a percussionist and have both musical understanding and logic on your side. All I know is watching Ginger Baker drum in that random metrical way of his was thrilling. He appeared to leave everyone else behind, including Ron, whom I also considered a admirable side-man, kind of like Ralph Molina in Crazy Horse. To answer your questions: Ginger Baker.

  • Ginger wasnt drumming randomly - prime number theory behind it 17

  • Maybe the most un - interesting drum solo I have ever head, & I have heard many. Just terrible. Yes I could do better as most semi acomplished drummers. could.

  • Then why didnt you budd (Greg) ? Ive never seen anyone do Ron to perfection

  • well then you should have been at Royal Albert Hall when Yes joined Butterfly onstage and the drumming duties were given to Bill Bruford.

  • Thank you. Bill Bruford is a great drummer. Bushy 's solo gets old after about 45 seconds.

  • awfull sound !

  • yep!!! I LOVE Ron Bushy too much!!!!!!

  • ron bushy makes real music with drums, most of drummers show technic but not music, ron does.

  • Yep! I love Ron Bushy.

  • Ron Bushy

  • Every drummer i knew had to do the 17 mins plus, my third virgin taken was behind the highschool to the drum solo.

  • He never lost it. Amazing. I hope i can see them before they retire.
