is there another video to continue where this left off? I'm wondering if you went into that misery and how you did that? there does seem to be much suffering with awakening - do you just keep looking at it - watching it - or feeling it so intensely? seems like the love infiltrated your being which raised you up so high and then you were slammed down and with everything else well you were quite acquainted with suffering - really want to know how you broke through to truth w/ this... thanks
From the realisation of the answers to "WHAT IS TRUTH behind this world". . . held as a question for 50 years . . . it is obvious the utter simplicity found as Truth itself, John has as an answer also. . .
Also having people around doing these 'charitable' deeds, makes the rest of the collective Ego feel okay about things. It is like society is saying 'yes we have all these problems, but don't worry about it there are charity workers solving the problem'. bollocks. People may need to see the problems full on, not sugar coated by do gooder ego's. I could have been one of those easily, but that's the funny thing, 'the ego' is the cause of all these problems, can you see the madness of it?
this touches on something that's long been a wondering of mine - is he saying that there's no point in recycling, in humanitarian work, in ecology, in non-violent political/social action?
i'd love to hear people's thoughts on this, or know of any references John Sherman has made to this topic elsewhere... thanks
As far as I can see, Ignelius, he says that there's no point in all these things if you don't see the truth. Ramana Maharshi used the simile of a man dreaming and desperately wanting to set the situation in his dream right, instead of just waking up. "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, the one thing needful, and all these things shall be added unto you."
I've come to the same conclusion. If you work for one you will probably be anti this and anti that, the whole spiritual thing is being not anti anything but having a better understanding of the situation. It is like that saying (I was told whilst asking on the street for money for charity) charity starts at home. Until you know your self, doing 'charity', 'humanitarian' work is just baloney. Not saying that it is bad work, it is great, but it is not who you are. Thats what I think anyway
Peoples who are intensely trying to change the world with a concept, is condemned to fail. If you like to help the world, you have to help yourself without the dependence on a concept of "myself"

John says it with full authority. Others of the same truth do as well. Now it is up to us to be and say truth. Let's all start now.

John is the clearest communicator I've found. Apparently there are no charges for his workshops , it's all run on donations. Thanks John , love ..
