Good point. However, most assume that the death of a baby is the worst case scenario which is contrary to what the Bible teaches. Clearly, the worst case scenario is death at any age without Jesus. If God gives eternity in heaven to that baby, does it matter how it died?

God may be both evil and good. he's responsible for both. if God knows the beginning and the end, then, he knew about evil, and he allowed it anyway. we may be just another video game. If God didn't create evil, that also means that God did not create everything, so, is there another God besides our God?
God knew we would choose evil. He had to allow it, other wise we cannot choose to love. Love cannot be expressed when it is forced. God had to make another choice possible for us to choose Him.
If God "had" to allow evil then God is not all powerful and omnipotent. A God that is not omnipotent is not God. God therefore cannot exist if he is a loving God because a loving omnipotent God would not allow evil to exist. Evil cannot only exist if an omnipotent God allows it. So God must be evil if he does exist otherwise he cannot possibly exist.
If the omnipotent and all powerful God is evil he can allow evil. If God was a loving God he could not possible allow evil and remain a loving God. So God must be evil.
On the other hand if God is evil he can make the evil worse by creating good men telling them God loves them and then inflicting misery upon them. Or he could invent Christianity, Islam and all the other crazy religions in order to maximise evil on earth.
Why create a species that is inherently evil? He is all powerful, capable of anything, and is perfect. And, in that respect, is it not stated that we were created in his own image?
I'm not saying it's a good thing. I'm saying that in the animal kingdom, there is no right or wrong. Say a carnivore is tremendously hungry and kills a baby zebra, plays around with it for a bit and then decides to eat it. This is not good or evil, it's just necessary for the survival of the species.
The world where only good exists does not necessarily entail a "robotic world" with no free will. We would still be able to make good AND better choices. There is also a huge difference between just calling everything "good" and actually having a world where everything IS good. Sorry. I don't really understand what you wrote. I think you said something about us changing our ways. The Holy Spirit will guide us in our change into the character of Christ, we are suppose to obey His directing in our lives so when change does happen, the glory goes to Him, not us.

My interpretation makes sense with the rest of the Bible and the conext. Where as you take a verse out of context and give it a meaning that is in contrast to the entire book.
I looked up the verse in Hebrew and found that the word for evil (ra') has multiple meanings (about 8). It can also mean bad situations, distress, adversity, etc.
The way you are using the word "evil" and the way the translators used the word "evil" are different.
Look at the verse, it's using a contrast; light-darkness, peace-evil. The translators were using "evil" to mean the absence of peace or adversity, calamity.

Good point. However, most assume that the death of a baby is the worst case scenario which is contrary to what the Bible teaches. Clearly, the worst case scenario is death at any age without Jesus. If God gives eternity in heaven to that baby, does it matter how it died?
The saddest thing would be to know about Jesus all your life and then die without accepting him.
Secondly, the idea of "injustice" requires there to be an absolute "just" morality which doesn't come without God.

Hi,
I appreciate your point of view but I don't think you've really considered the consequences of your position. Would you mind being friends with a person who thinks its alright to kill people at random? You'd probably want to know more about his belief system.
While this situation isn't very probable, people's belief's do have dire repercussions. Believing "The Simpsons" should go on another 5 seasons is harmless, believing there are no eternal consequences for your actions is dangerous.

i can tell you must be a very well educated person and yes i would mind if i had a friend who thinks it right to kill people and i would like to know why they would do this, and i kinda have a friend who does have beliefs like that, he believes people should be punshed depending on what they have done in life, and i do believe if someone kills another person on purpose they deserve the same or at least close to it.

i believe in evolution and the big bang. beyond that, i don't know. there's nothing wrong with not having the answer to everything. accepting some ludicrous story as absolute truth when there is no evidence to support it is just silly. there are about 10,000 religions in the world, all without any evidence. do you really think you just happen to be right and everyone else wrong? or is it more likely that they are all just made-up?

Do you mean that Heaven is a "robotic world"? I only assume that you wouldn't have the ability to do evil in Heaven, but maybe I'm wrong. If you can do evil in Heaven (unless it's a "robotic world") will you be send to Hell?

God did'nt created Evil...in Genesis He made the world and saw that it was GOOD...
We all have our own wills in life...
We aren't robots...People around us by choice do things that are evil and God can't do anything about their own will..all HE can do is to turn things that are Evil to become Good in our lives Rom. 8:28..
Anyway, it is our fault why there is Evil...It's just base on the choices we make..

Your logic is flawed. We choose form good and evil, sure. Problem is to go to your heaven, we have to be "good" in the eyes of your God or burn eternerally in Hell, well until he destroys it that is. So whats the point of making evil if all he wants is good? I suppose you say to "test" people, but what does that make us? Was he bored and wanted to have something to play with? Seems kinda sick.

For those who are still unclear:
We are the ones who create most evil.
The people told God that they didn't need him.
The people told him to shove off. The people twisted the facts and blamed everything on God when really it was us that caused our world to be in complete turmoil.
So...the only thing God did was let the people have what they want.
Now look at the world and what we made it become...

All people die, old and young and God allows every death. The issue isn't death, it's what happens after death that's important. God's grace allows for children to spend eternity in heaven.

evil is also the Cruel system of nature, where hundreds of thousands of animals are being ripped apart every day (sometimes while being alive)
Evil is also Tsunamies, Volcanoes, and other Atrocities
Evil is when god ordered bears to rip apart 42 children just because they mocked his prophet

we humans can tell the difference between what is god and what is evil.
if a human kills a human , he is fully aware that he has brought pain and suffering to an un suspecting victim.

it dosnt contradict the verse it simply reafirms that god wanted evil to exist from the day he created the universe. and if man created evil them men are able to create an oposing power to god that in the modern world equals his power, wich makes god less then all powerfull.

God never made evil......Evil made its self which is the devil. The devil was once an angel his name was Lucifer he was a special angel of God. Then it got to him that he was more perfect then God. He ruled over some angels in heaven God did not like that so sent him out of heaven over to earth and thats were the evil started because of the devil.

God may be both evil and good. he's responsible for both. if God knows the beginning and the end, then, he knew about evil, and he allowed it anyway. we may be just another video game. If God didn't create evil, that also means that God did not create everything, so, is there another God besides our God?

God knew we would choose evil. He had to allow it, other wise we cannot choose to love. Love cannot be expressed when it is forced. God had to make another choice possible for us to choose Him.

If God "had" to allow evil then God is not all powerful and omnipotent. A God that is not omnipotent is not God. God therefore cannot exist if he is a loving God because a loving omnipotent God would not allow evil to exist. Evil cannot only exist if an omnipotent God allows it. So God must be evil if he does exist otherwise he cannot possibly exist.

If the omnipotent and all powerful God is evil he can allow evil. If God was a loving God he could not possible allow evil and remain a loving God. So God must be evil.

I'm not saying it's a good thing. I'm saying that in the animal kingdom, there is no right or wrong. Say a carnivore is tremendously hungry and kills a baby zebra, plays around with it for a bit and then decides to eat it. This is not good or evil, it's just necessary for the survival of the species.

The world where only good exists does not necessarily entail a "robotic world" with no free will. We would still be able to make good AND better choices. There is also a huge difference between just calling everything "good" and actually having a world where everything IS good. In a world that is truly good, with no evil, "killing, (and) stealing" would not exist because they ARE evil.
You should try to make your arguments less open ended.

Sorry. I don't really understand what you wrote. I think you said something about us changing our ways. The Holy Spirit will guide us in our change into the character of Christ, we are suppose to obey His directing in our lives so when change does happen, the glory goes to Him, not us.

"I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things." Isa 45:7 No mention of evil or a footnote. I guess Biblical scholars agree with me. Interesting how that works.
My interpretation makes sense with the rest of the Bible and the conext. Where as you take a verse out of context and give it a meaning that is in contrast to the entire book.

I looked up the verse in Hebrew and found that the word for evil (ra') has multiple meanings (about 8). It can also mean bad situations, distress, adversity, etc.
The way you are using the word "evil" and the way the translators used the word "evil" are different.
Look at the verse, it's using a contrast; light-darkness, peace-evil. The translators were using "evil" to mean the absence of peace or adversity, calamity.

I've long thought evil was the grain of sand that produced the pearl. The lesson of the story of the Fall is that true humanity is only achievable by going through the choice between the concepts of good and evil - and making them realities. And then God brings us even closer to Himself by adopting us as sons by the sacrifice of His own Son, Jesus.
If you want God to rid the world of evil, let Him - starting now, with yourself.
