  • "Looks like you're smuggling an olive" LOL!

  • What year was this?

  • LOL... I see Jimmy Jack Funk there in the back

  • This had to be one of the worst gimmicks in the history of wrestling. I don't recall Betelgeuce wearing multicolored Zubaz or a denim jacket. The only thing the 2 have in common is a penchant for forcing themselves on teenage girls.

  • @VeeDeLarge Well played!

  • Well, at least he didn't turn him into Robocop...

  • I was there live when i was a kid Art was my fav. wrestler RIP Art and Sandy

  • I need to clean my ears after listening to this.

  • Love Machine is trully born that day

  • Wow thank you so much for posting this video!! I lived in Vancuver, Wa and would go to Portland and watch him wrestle. This really brings back great memories. RIP

  • Awesome!

  • Thanks for posting this. Amazing this video even exists.

  • That man Art Barr at one time was the best heel in wrestling in 93-94 with Eddie Guerrero.

    RIP Los Gringos Locos

  • Piper + Mic = EPIC!

  • RIP Art RIP Eddie RIP brothers

  • lol "I'll create a wrestler right now!" I didnt know Piper was into playing wrestling games

  • what was piper doing in WCW at this time?

  • This wasn't WCW. This was PNW in Portland, Oregon.

  • @JKTube

    What does PNW stand for?

  • @kisser83: NWA Pacific Northwest Championship Wrestling. The Bornes (Tony & Matt), the Barrs (Sandy, Jesse, Art), Moondog Lonnie Mayne, "Playboy" Buddy Rose, the Grappler (Len Denton), Curt Hennig, Rick Martel, the Sheepherders, Ed Wiskoski (Col. DeBeers), Piper, Stan Stasiak, Jesse Ventura, Scotty the Body (Raven), Crush (Brian Adams), Billy Jack Haynes and the Harris Brothers all spent time here. It died in 1992, well after Vince supposedly "killed all the territories at once."

  • this wasnt wcw dude. this was the greatest indy of all time portland wrestling also known as big time wrestling in other parts of the country.

  • I used to be a huge WCW fan especially early 90's but after hearing and visibly witnessing them hold people back discusts me. WCW was such a political wasteland

  • All wrestling was at times.

  • THE INVENTOR OF THE FROG SPLASH

  • I love uncle art and miss ya!!! R.I.P!

    ur babygirl lina....

  • back when wrestling was watchable

  • It's still watchable: well, Japanese wrestling is watchable

  • the beginning of caw's. :p

  • I remember the juicer very well, but I didn't see this clip take place. I figured as a kid that he was based on Beetlejuice, but I didn't know they actually came out and said it. Also, I'm now a bit surprised the Juicer was created by Roddy Piper.

  • So. The guy served his time

  • Plus, at least he didn't murder his wife and kid

  • yea he wasnt like Chris benoit :-)

  • great stuff

  • what company was this?

  • RIP ART BARR

  • This is one of Piper's best moments. Anyone who says different are missing a brain or a grasp on pro-wrestling being entertainment.

  • he was my idol wen i was 10,and i'll allways hate blue panther and el wero rangel for took off his love machine mask (by the way i'm mexican)

  • Art was good, look for the mask versus mask match as the Love Machine against one Mexico's finest Blue Panther, he actually lost the match by dissqualification... too bad he died young, he may have been a legend like Eddie...

  • There was one writer at DDT Digest who believed the classic "Rowdy" Roddy Piper died this night, the night he turned Art Barr into Beetlejuice. After this, he believes Piper went through a slow decline that continues to this day. After seeing this, I agree. This was the day Roddy Piper jumped the shark.

  • @brighat well that writer is not a portland fan and is obviously seriously dillusional.... And jealous that he did not get to see the great one in his heyday in portland. This was just another classic roddy moment thats all plain and simple....

  • art barr wrestled in mexico with lots of success......he was named the american love machine he had a mask also....he died when he was at his best time....he was very good....even if he was hated by the mexican public...he was a great wrestler

  • Art Barr died the same month as his best friend Eddie Guerrero .. May they both be in heaven R.I.P

  • Art Barr Changing gimmicks on the spot like Adrian Adonis. And Roddy Piper was present both times.

  • I was the Juicer during Haloween in the late 80's. He adn Eddie were the best. I know they're in heaven trading frog splashes.

  • I remember reading an issue of pro wrestling illustrated a LONG time ago, and in the PNW standings, he and Bug-Juice were the tag team champs.

The only time I saw him wrestle was in NWA/WCW.

Does anyone have more footage of him? He was awesome!

  • bug juice that is what raven used to call him when raven played the scotty the body role in portland...

  • SAD!

  • drug overdose

  • how did Art Bar die again?

  • he didnt OD. They didnt fing drugs in his body when they did the autopsy. Although for a short while he was quite addicted to alcohol and meth when he was in mexico. But he got over them a long time before his death

  • bein lead down the primrose path. RIP

  • Anyone have any footage of Barr when he was with Eddie Guererro (sp?) in their days in Mexico? I have seen a piece of their "When Worlds Collide" PPV match and looked like he definately grew up as a wrestler since he left Portland.

  • Barr competed briefly in WCW as The Juicer around 1990

  • Yes you're right !!! but his run was very short lived...he lasted a very short time then was quickly released by wcw!!!

  • did Piper say... cameraman?

  • art barr would have been a superstar in wcw or wwf if he could have lived

  • Portland, Oregon

  • When and where did this take place?

  • Pipernuts seems too energetic in this promo. I wonder if he was snorting some candy in the back before the promo.

  • I would have to say the odds of that are pretty darn good. lol

  • This was fine stuff.

  • 1989

  • what year was this?

  • He died in November 1994.

  • RIP Art Barr

  • "Beetlejuice"

  • "Looks likes you're smuggling an olive in there man" LOL! Funny how this little skit made it into a failed character in WCW.... RIP Art Barr

  • When did Barr die?
