I figured the lyrics were way to depressing for a sitcom, but what I'm saying is that it appears that the theme used for this pilot episode sounds like the backing track for the movie theme, minus the lyrics. It's a noticebly different arrangement than what would be used for the rest of season one.

Yeah, it's My Blue Heaven, but it's either in Japanese or Korean. More likely Japanese, as five years out of that war is plenty of time for our music and other things to get over there.

no, not that. The song at the very beginning while they're golfing and going through other shots of the camp. Suicide is painless starts part way through when radar hears the choppers coming.

now that i think about it,the finale was great but since this opened with 100 years ago it should have ended with the time capsule they buried before the finale being opened 100 years later.

Been watching M*A*S*H for 17 years now and never saw the 1st episode till tonight.Wow it`s been bloody fantastic all the way through.This intro was great.I thought i`d seen em all.Thanks
