Payslie: how can you say that the light was Gods glory filling the earth. That would mean that God is made up of chemicals and he emits radiation light. Most ppl, including Jews, Christians and Muslims, have a really distorted concept of what is God.
This is a very good awareness, I think the same also. Genesis can't be about the literal creation of the universe. It's not scientifically accurate. How can God create the sun and moon on the fourth day, if the sun and moon have to be there in order to have night and day.
Great video. I enjoyed it very much. I just read about this in another text by Sheinkin, "The Path of the Kabbalah." Unfortunately he died in a plane wreck in 1983. Thank goodness his wife carried through his project and book. Very en- "light" -ening - GRIN!
I love reading Rabbi Kuschner's materials. It's nice to know he makes instructional videos as well. Baruch atah Rabbi Kuschner.
I disagree w/this video b/c it says God created light and darkness, separated them, called the light day and the darkness night so this was an optical light & darkness. I think the light was God`s glory filling the earth. His presence was to be in creation.
@Temple420org You're wrong, this video is not New Age thinking at all- most of what he is talking about (in the Zohar) is kabbalistic ideas that ARE part of Torah, in fact make up the Torah completely. Jews don't just believe in the revealed Torah, theres a deeper meaning underlying the entire thing, which is what this Rabbi was speaking about.
Religion is poison.
This video is just babbling nonsense and superstitions mixed in with a little dogma.

Genesis 1:5
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the EVENING and the MORNING were the first day.
This video is a very loose, mystical, and non-literal interpretation of the text.

If you have already allowed god in to your life and hart, you cannot get any closer to god

there is a paralell between day one and day four of creation or bara
Between day two and day five; also between day three and day six... and then He rested....
this video is pretty much New Age thinking and is not based on Torah
