Dzeko has committed himself to Wolfsburg which now means Milan will come in for Adebayor freeing up the cash for Chamakh and a decent midfielder. melo is out of the frame though as he has signed a new contract with Fiorentina. No way will Arsenal pay the 35m Lyon want fo Benzema so Chamack it probably will be.
Adebayor wasn't a great finisher when he joined Arsenal either. If there is one place to improve your technical ability its at Arsenal and their fantastic coaching team. I think this guy will do well.
Totally agree with you. From the form Ade was which was pretty much nothing in Monaco to a 30+ goal scorer in the league. We already have clinical strikers in Eduardo and Vela. I imagine wenger will be looking for more physical strikers with better build up play if Adebayor leaves.

Walcott is uncreative + wasteful, nasri hasn't shown himself to be capable of getting many assists (yet). Van persie isn't great when dropping deep.
The difference between having a hard working adebayor and one who doesn't care has made a huge difference to our effectiveness in the past couple of seasons.
Maybe having a more consistant hard worker would help?

Yeah ur spot on, Arshavin balled us out last year to finish for becuase he threatens to cut inside or hug the wing and get crosses in causing a threat which finally helped us create, Adebayour or 2 years ago will be missed but last year he was not a 25mill player he lacked the effort arsenal need to break down defences, your right about walcott hes very wasteful especially in games vs Man u he was non exesitent. Nasri in my opinion looks like a central midfielder but i like the boys energy

True, you make a good point. A more consistent hardworker would definitely help... but I would have thought such a hardworker would slip into midfield. I felt the reason we weren't creating chances was because we were so easily suffocated by other teams (hence why Van P e.t.c weren't allowed freedom to create). Anyway, I think we both have a point. I don't think either of us would say no to a hard worker up-front and in the middle lol

Arsenal and Sunderland are battling for Marouane Chamakh's signature on a contract, according to BBC Sport football's gossip column.
You would think Arsenal would be automatic favorites to land Chamakh, since they're in Champs League. But Sunderland's a club on the rise, led by new majority US owner Ellis Short. Sunderland have lots of money. Short wants to bulid a winner and will go after top talent.
My guess is Chamakh will be paid at least 125K a week if he signs with Sunderland.

Black Cat owner Ellis Short's financially loaded but they lack Champions League and Europa Cup play. So Sunderland is at a disadvantage in trying to talk top players into coming there. They have no other choice but to offer players megabucks.

He may be missing a few chances, but if he does come to Arsenal, Arsene & staff will make him vastly improve, watching his vids he definitely has quality and technical ability, i think he will do very well at Arsenal and would be a great buy and another gem Wenger will mould to the Arsenal style of play!

Well it looks like this deal will happen. Dzeko has committed himself to Wolfsburg which now means Milan will come in for Adebayor freeing up the cash for Chamakh and a decent midfielder. melo is out of the frame though as he has signed a new contract with Fiorentina. No way will Arsenal pay the 35m Lyon want fo Benzema so Chamack it probably will be.

Adebayor wasn't a great finisher when he joined Arsenal either. If there is one place to improve your technical ability its at Arsenal and their fantastic coaching team. I think this guy will do well.

Totally agree with you. From the form Ade was which was pretty much nothing in Monaco to a 30+ goal scorer in the league. If Arsenal and Arsene can do that to Ade who let face it can be clumsy and cannot even get the offside rule into his head i feel Chamakh will be a star. Some people will disagree with me here, but keep an eye out for Bendtner too i have a strong feeling he will surprise a few critics!!

I'm sorry but as good as this guy MAY be he has a scoring record of 1-in-4 in the French Ligue 1 which is about pound for pound as good as our Championship is. That is not the sort of scoring stats a "Talismanic striker" has....(Wenger said he wanted a Talismanic striker in the transfer window probably to replace Adebayor). Edin Dzeko is the sort of striker Arsenal need and he has scored 49 goals in 70 appearances in the German Bundesliga for Wolfsburg. Wenger GET DZEKO PLEASE....

dzeko only played well for one season and he might play as well without grafite and mismisovic. also look at henrys records before he came 2 arsenal cos they r terrible and now hes a legend. In arsene we trust, just keep the faith. also a defensive mid is needed also but ill keep faith in him again
