Cannibal Corpse (One of the first ever brutal death metal bands) are truly amazing. Carcass (The first ever goregrind band) are also incredible. Pig Destroyer's lyrics consist of dark poetry rather than senseless violent ramblings. But now, these modern bands have turned grind into a horrible, distorted mess that sounds like a clogged drain.

Aside from essentials like Metallica and Maiden etc, I listen to a lot of Arch Enemy, In Flames, DImmu Borgir, Immortal, Cannibal Corpse, Carcass, Sentenced, Kataklysm, Belphegor, Vader, Kreator, Draconian, Emperor and heaps more. Even bands like Charon are among my favourites. Metal in all its glorious forms!
