this music is so epic <3 and the better is when you hit icasaracht last time before she runaway to her soul crystal xd i love this game and all icewind dale and baldurs gate saga <3
Isn't the final boss a white dragon? I thought I read that... I'm not sure, since my copy consistently glitched out halfway through the game, so I never got any farther than that.
i don't remember this theme might have play this again and part 2 I prefer them over Baldurs gate mainly as its more action based prob why I love ff13 :)
The golden age of gaming died with Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale, in my opinion. Almost no game-producing companies give an epic storyline to their cloned games. (Think most EA games. They're just... just... not storyline-intensive enough.)
One of the few storyline-reliant game series of this day and age is half-life, and Valve turns those out at a painfully slow rate.
In truth I thought Icewind Dale II was a good sequel but it doesn't compare playing the first one for the first time, that's why I don't jump around sequels. Always play the first games, have you played it yet?

@henryhenriquez That demon is final boss of the original Icewind Dale. The dragon is the final boss at the end of expansion Heart of the winter. :)

This is a great track from an epic game that brings back memories of the old D&D
aragax 2 years ago 4
Black Isle could make a great game, but Jeremy Soule could make it an epic game.

Icewind Dale and Baldurs Gate are imho the best Infinity-Engine D&D games ever. Wish there were more of those great games!

You should try Planescape Torment if you haven't already. There resides something in that game which offers more than either BG or Icewind Dale.

I'm starting to understand why people like Icewind Dale... unfortunatelly I played only ID2. Maybe I would like it if played ID1 first.

nope. :\

Well Icewind Dale still had that AD&D sort of..."retro" feel to it. Ya know, when you didn't have drow monks running around and other shit like that.
JenxRodwell 3 years ago 36
Drow monks would be a blessing, instead we are stuck with dwarven monks :)

This is most likely the most moving RPG battle theme I've ever heard... 5 stars hands down.
