@cookingfordads key difference between a stromboli and a calzone (as far as I know)....with a calzone the sauce is served on the outside, in a stromboli a sauce is already inside.
Great Video! I think I might give it a shot next week with my roommates as a fun thing to do before we leave for break (or with leftovers from home! ;-) )
why can't you show there faces or say there names? I assume its because 500 people think they are sponsoring this family but actually your money goes to some booky in New Jersey.
Looks delish! I was wondering don't you have to poke a knife or fork into the top for the hot air to release from the calzone? I know that I do that when making pies, turnovers, etc.
That Calzone looks just like a giant Cornish pasty.
Well, the traditional Cornish pasty is normally a beef, potato and onion filling - but you can and do get all types of other fillings too.
Pasties, though, are much smaller. They're more "hand-sized", like a burger in a bun, so you can just pick it up with your hands and munch it down as a lunchtime snack. :D
you didnt mention what temp to heat the oven and for how long should we leave it in for?

@YPS80 it's in the comments. 450 for around 15 minutes or until it's just browned.

You're using a lint remover to roll out dough. Just kidding!!! :) You make this look easy. I wanna try.

Yeah, it's a calzone, at least what's called a calzone, from NYC to Moscow.
Excellent dough, elasticky, demonstrates exactly the stretchiness from gluten.

Where I grew up in PA it was actually called a stromboli.

p.s. Oh, as it's not obvious from how it's written down, "pasty" is pronounced with an "a" like in "cat", not an "a" like in "day".
A "past-ee", rather than a "paste-ee", even though, yeah, there's no way to tell the difference from the spelling at all. :D
