See it's amazing because so much was made of this press conference about how before President Obama knew all the facts he talked about how the Cambridge police acted "stupidly" and how that it made him a racist. You'll notice though that he prefaced it by saying he may be a little bias because he knew him personally and that he didn't have all the facts, but based on what the reports were saying the police acted stupidly. How is that not a fair statement?

See it's amazing because so much was made of this press conference about how before President Obama knew all the facts he talked about how the Cambridge police acted "stupidly" and how that it made him a racist. You'll notice though that he prefaced it by saying he may be a little bias because he knew him personally and that he didn't have all the facts, but based on what the reports were saying the police acted stupidly. How is that not a fair statement?

Actually, I've lived in Japan the past 5 yrs. And everything I said is true. Maybe you don't notice it where you are from, or perhaps due to your age, it doesn't apply to you as much, but underprivileged Caucasians do not get the same benefits as underprivileged of another ethnicity. Why do you think we still have to fill out ethnicity on applications to schools, enlistment, etc? If treated the same, Why do we still have Equal Opportunity and affirmative action laws?

Most Republicans I know would have gladly voted for a black Republican. Some have mentioned that they would have voted for Condi or Powell before most of the other choices.

Republicans dislike Obama so much because his ideology represents everything they stand against. They dislike him because of his associations. They find him arrogant, self-centered and egotistical. Some hope for his death because they see that as the only way to get rid of him before he destroys this country beyond what it has already suffered. As for the gorilla remark, sometimes it's blatant racism, sometimes they just think she's ugly. Perhaps you would feel better if they called her shrek?

This is an ignorant question, you can plainly see I said no such thing nor did I imply it. The charges were dropped because the dept. didn't want to deal with false allegations of racism. As they said. People who commit crimes get off quite often, especially those with political connections. Of course you 2 think it's about race. There are racists in every demographic. Political, ethnic, religious and any other group has it's racist. So don't pretend it's all Republicans. I can gaurantee there were plenty of white Democrats who didn't vote for Obama because he is black.
As for me telling people,"Stop that's wrong," if I was there when it was said I would. But don't lump me in with Republicans. I am not a Republican. My views are may lean more to the right, but I am not a Republican nor am I registered as such.

Cops treat everyone like shit, it's just a higher degree or frequency of that treatment seems to target minorities.
