I can't believe how easily this came out for me. Not only that, but it got bent and contorted like crazy. Shoddy design if you ask me...it's a shame because I love this gun.
that's for the video, I was able to put my spring back in less than 5 minutes. It would have taken me awhile to look through the diagrams and figure out the orientation.
Hi. About how many round do you have thru your P22? I have one with about 3800 rounds thru mind. I managed to blow up the barrel with a double discharge creating a buldge in mine. They (S&W) fixed it for me by installing a new barrel. I used the slide stop as a slide release & that is how this whole mess got started. NEVER use the stop as a release AS YOU WILL WEAR MATERIAL OFF OF THE SLIDE & it will no longer have an L shape. Sincerely, JAMES.
Thanks for the tip. I recently got one of these. I've heard about some of the problems, but after shooting about 500 rounds with my friend's P22 I decided to get my own.
Do a google search for the "Walther P22 Bible"

Cool video.
Is that hammer on the .22 version completely made of steel or is there a little steel plate in the zinc hammer?
bfgguns 2 years ago
looks like it's all steel but it does look like its made out of two pieces. there is a seam about 1/8" from the left side.
