You CAN'T exit through the locked gates. you can either go out the backdoor, die and run to the backdoor, or die and spirit res.

How do you get to Baron without killing any aboms?

You can open all the doors/gates to the baron, one after the other, by opening the trapped crates (with plagued maggots/rats) around Magistrate Barthilas and on the square around the Slaughterhouse. You don't have to kill a single mob in the entire instance to get to the Baron (with the exception of the plagued rats from the crates).

I was originally going to just condense the run into its primary parts but that's been done already. So, I consciously left it in its entirety so as to give an accurate account of the time and method, hence the word Complete included in the title.

Actually, the corpse run is part of the farming strategy. You kill Rivendare, strip down to your underwear, die, release corpse, reset instance, and begin again inside the instance. This saves you from hearthing back to Light's Hope Chapel and riding back to Strath.
