  • You could come a little slower and flare a little higher ... That look like a carrier's landing! Poor landing gear/wing spars!

  • Scary. 1200' is below the published 50' obstacle distance. Getting them in is tough enough. Getting them back out get's real exciting too. Maybe it was a real cold day. At any rate I would land his Comanche there but even 67 seems like the very ragged edge for that wing.

  • "That left a mark". hahaha, brush your teeth kid.

  • sorry but the landing was horrible,

  • Very Smooth good aircrafts

  • Nice landing both times. I love the dust vortexs during the first landing. I am curious, is that a closed runway (obvious Xs at the ends)?

  • The runway is not closed, just a private farm runway that is a driveway to the house.

  • 1200 foot runway. At the time of the 1st landing there was no overrun and I used 63 knots over the trees and a quick flare. The 2nd landing was months later in the opposite direction and the trees had been removed to make a 600 dirt foot overrun. You have to get on the runway within the 1st couple of hundred feet, plus Comanche's are very light on the gear until about 40 knots so initial braking is an issue.

  • You didn't waste any time getting her down. Was that a short field?

  • @PA28140 1200 is the max takeoff distance for a Pa-24

  • Love Comanches!
