How does one become a fancy dancer? do you have to be a certain tribe or ...?  I'm an apache/mexican, I love this dance, and would like my daughter to try this, she's mexican, looks very light and could probably pass for being a northern tribe.

Hmm well I am a Fancy Dancer, and I am also of Cree Descent. But I do not think dancing has anything to do with what your culture is. If you wish for your daughter to dance, then she definitely should be able to. :D But if there are any Native Elders near where you live, then you could ask them? And traditionally when asking an elder for guidence you would offer Tobacco. :D Hope this helps.
