Not sure if you knew this but the massive power boost Ness gets is directly proportional to the scrolling power meter at the bottom of the screen. Once you finish with the stats bonus from fire spring whatever the stats are on is what you get. I've gotten Ness to over 700 pp that way. His HP was under 400 tho.

He's difficult because he has so many OHKO moves. Ness's Nightmares PK Flash pretty much screws you over, because besides OHKOing you, it can also paralyze you,making Ness pretty much helpless, especially if Ness's Nightmare puts up a PSI Counter(Calling it by its Mother 3 name). So, if you're lucky and he doesn't do any of that, he's easy. Like Pokemon, its all luck.
